Umpires catch flak from fans all the time. No matter what call they make, one side will be unhappy. They get verbally abused with some language that should never be repeated. Stand-up comics get heckled by the crowd all the time.
Umpires, referees, and comics will all tell you the same thing. Do not respond and give them the satisfaction of answering the verbal insult. It is what they want.
A bad umpire reacts to the jeering fans and it is embarrassing. A poor comic gets into arguments with their attention-seeking crowd member. When a politician or their families respond to people who criticize them, it means they are thin-skinned.
When Jill Biden stopped by an ice cream shop in New Haven, Connecticut she was greeted by an adoring fan of the First Lady and her husband. “Your husband’s the worst President we’ve ever had. You owe us gas money,” the man cried out loudly enough for everyone to hear. “You suck!” said another.
The First Lady didn’t ignore the verbal slights as she should have. She had to respond. “Thank you! Thank you for your support, thank you!” She said smiling and waving at the man as if she were standing atop a float in a Disney World parade.
Look, kids. It is Queen Biden on top of her White House Castle float. She is waving down to the peasants and thanking them for their support. I was half expecting her to reply to the gas money comment by uttering “Laissez-Les conduire électriquement,” or “Let them drive electric”.
She would have followed in the footsteps of Marie Antoinette and her infamous “Qu’ils tangent de la brioche” or “let them eat cake” comment. To be fair to Queen Marie, it was not cake. It was brioche which was just as expensive as cake. Historians have no evidence she ever said it either.
Unfortunately, for Queen Jill Biden, we now have evidence she sarcastically replied to them. Of course, we don’t blame Jill. She doesn’t know any better. The Democrat party has insulated the Bidens from actual questions and from people who dislike them. They think everyone loves them.
Melania got yelled at everywhere she went by people who disliked like her. I’m sure she heard all kinds of unique and colorful language directed at her and that was just from the media itself. I’m sure there were people in the crowd that would say some awful things too.
Yet, I can’t recall Melania responding to those people, even when the media was making cruel and vicious remarks about her and her children. She never responded. Do you know why? You don’t respond. You accept the fact there will always be people out there who don’t like you and move on.
Are the hecklers wrong? The individuals were merely pointing out the latest poll results for President Biden. The polls have him hovering around a 30% approval rating and even lower in some polls. According to Fox News, he is polling around 24% in key battleground states.
I’m just grateful the President wasn’t there to hear the comments. He probably wouldn’t have heard them but if he had, he would have challenged the man to a push-up contest or called him a “dog-faced pony soldier”. It would have been bad. After all, we know what Joe did to Corn Pop.
