Jillian Michaels Asked Bill Maher to Try and Buy Some Eggs To Know More About Inflation

Last Sunday, Fitness guru Jillian Michaels hit comedian and host of Club Random Bill Maher as he claimed that inflation is “not insane.”

Maher insisted that the country had won the pandemic “economically.”

“We did? God, I don’t feel that way. Explain it to me. I feel like inflation is insane,” Michaels clapped back.

As if mocking the fitness expert, Maher argued that “Inflation is not insane.”

Leading her to challenge Maher and say, “Buy some f***ing eggs!”

The cost of a dozen eggs has reached $2.51 this year and peaked at over $4 last year.

Maher argued that some countries are far worse off economically than the US. But for Michaels, with the country being trillions of dollars in debt, that is not a good picture.

And eventually, the fitness expert believes that the country will implode because of its growing debt.

The Labor Department reported on Tuesday that the consumer price index — including gasoline, groceries, and rent, climbed up last month climbed up to 0.3 percent. Additionally, prices of goods rose by 3.1 percent compared to the same period last year.

Core prices surged by 0.4 percent, and even though there was a slowdown late last year, it still surpasses the target of 2 percent by the Federal Reserve.

The majority of American families, especially low-income individuals, are affected by the growing prices. These are the same people who are already suffering from limited incomes.

Compared to the data the previous year — housing costs rose to 6.1 percent, grocery prices are up 1.2 percent, and even health and car insurance jumped in January.

The Bureau for Labor Statistics also reported that Americans now spend $125.51 on groceries, which only cost $100 in December 2019.

With these data, it only reflects how Maher is out of touch with the daily concerns of ordinary Americans.

Maher’s economic view looked similar to Biden, who recently attacked food companies for “shrinkflation,” shrinking the size and portion of products while charging the same costs.

The video dubbed as “shrinkflation,” appeared to have been shot inside the White House movie theater and had the president deliver the lines: “If you’re like me, you like to be around a snack or two while watching the big game.”

“As an ice cream lover, what makes me the most angry is that ice cream cartons have actually shrunk in size but not in price.”

“I’ve had enough of what they call shrinkflation; it’s a rip-off.”

“The American public is tired of being played for suckers,” Biden concluded.

But Biden is missing the point or probably forgot why these companies were forced to adjust their products, and several social media users called him out.

“Joe Biden, whose economic policies created the highest inflation in 40 years, blamed companies for shrinking the size of their products,” wrote Clay Travis on X.

Another X user wrote, “Typical communist tactic: Don’t blame the poor economic policies, blame the companies for adjusting to the poor economic policies (so they can stay afloat and keep Americans employed).”
