Jim Jordan Warns Crooked New York AG, ‘Comply or Face Subpoena’

The crooked Democrats have destroyed America. They weaponized the laws of the land, destroyed people’s values and morals through their woke-DEI sh*t, and disrespected governing bodies.

That is how corrupt Letitia James is. The New York Attorney General stonewalls requests from Congress for files on Matthew Colangelo, the lead prosecutor in Donald Trump’s case.

According to the letter sent by House Judiciary Committee Chair Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) to James, the next thing she would receive was a subpoena if she did not comply with the committee’s demand.

On May 15, Jordan requested information and related documents on Colangelo, a previous staff member of James, before transferring to the Department of (In)Justice as a senior prosecutor and then leaving the DOJ to join Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg.

James has not responded to Jordan yet.

The committee said James “failed to comply with or respond to our request.”

“The Committee is continuing to conduct oversight of politically motivated prosecutions by state and local officials.”

“The Committee is prepared to resort to compulsory process to obtain compliance with our requests” if she fails to meet a deadline of July 2, warned Jordan.

The lawmaker furthered how elected prosecutors leveraged their position to attack the former president.

“Popularly elected prosecutors, such as New York County District Attorney Alvin Bragg, have engaged in an unprecedented abuse of authority by prosecuting a former President of the United States and current leading candidate for that office,” Jordan quipped.

“Notably, Bragg’s prosecution has been led in part by Mr. Colangelo, a former prosecutor in your office and subsequent senior Justice Department official in the Biden Administration. As such, the Committee continues to seek information and documents related to Mr. Colangelo’s employment at the New York Attorney General’s Office.”

Jordan further reminded New York AG that the Supreme Court has ruled that the Congress has a “broad and indispensable” power to practice oversight, which “encompasses inquiries into the administration of existing laws, studies of proposed laws, and surveys in our social, economic, or political system for the purpose of enabling Congress to remedy them.”

The committee chair also cited Rule X of the Rules of the House, which empowers the Judiciary Committee to conduct oversight of criminal justice matters and issues that affect civil liberties to inform potential legislation.

“Congress has a specific and manifestly important interest in preventing politically motivated prosecutions of current and former presidents by elected state and local prosecutors, particularly in jurisdictions like New York County where the prosecutor is popularly elected and trial-level judges lack life tenure,” Jordan stressed.

“Among other things, if state or local prosecutors are able to engage in politically motivated prosecutions of Presidents of the United States (current or former) for personal acts, this could have a profound impact on how Presidents choose to exercise their powers while in office,” the letter noted.

“Accordingly, the Committee reiterates its May 15 request and asks that you produce the requested information immediately, but not later than 5:00 p.m. on July 2, 2024. The Committee is prepared to resort to compulsory process to obtain compliance with our requests.”

Donald Trump sacrificed a life of luxury to be convicted in a fake trial, with a rigged jury, a communist judge, a communist DA, a communist state AG, a Communist Governor, a communist DOJ, and a dictator living in the White House.
