On Monday, the Republican chairman of the House Judiciary Committee Chairman, Jim Jordan, subpoenaed the Disinformation Governance Board head, Nina Jankowicz.
She has been ordered to testify before Congress about the weaponization of the American government as part of an investigation by the GOP.
Jordan also subpoenaed the National Assessment Governing Board Trustee, Viola Garcia, and the former CEO of the National School Boards Association, Chip Slaven, along with Jankowicz.
Jordan also sent interview requests to the three individuals back in January.
Jordan wrote in the subpoena to Jankowicz:
“We have repeatedly sought information from you concerning your official actions and duties as a DHS employee and former Executive Director of the Board, including how the Board intended to define disinformation, how it planned to collection information and from what sources, how it anticipated countering disinformation, and how it proposed to protect First Amendment rights.”
He added:
“As the former Executive Director of the Board, you are uniquely situated to provide information that is relevant and necessary to inform the Committee’s oversight and potential legislative reforms. Accordingly, and in light of your disregard of our earlier voluntary requests, please find attached a subpoena compelling you to appear for a deposition.”
Recently, Jankowicz has been trying to seek donations for legal action to have a revenge tour and claims that she has been receiving unfair treatment by the media.
Jankowicz was let go from the position of Department of Homeland Security’s “disinformation czar” following the media blowback.
However, she claims that she is a victim of “disinformation.”
If one is right, one comes out to explain the motives as to why one is wright. Hiding like a weasel in a closet or so, hoping this situation blows over is not only poor judgement, but showing cowardice as well, at the same time proving that one is not even prepaired to defend oneself only gives the impression that one is not capable to serve in that particular position !
