Award-winning rapper and fashion mogul Kanye West on Thursday posted a long five-minute ‘thanksgiving prayer’ and revealed some powerful moments from his personal life.
The 44-year old billionaire started this video by thanking his friends, family, fans, and haters. He shared some chilling moments from his life when he was dealing with mental health issues.
He described himself as a ‘self-righteous Christian’ after getting mental health treatment. “When I got saved, it did not immediately make me a better person. It made me a self-righteous Christian.” He said.
Then he shared some very powerful details of his marriage with his ex-wife and model Kim Kardashian. “Good lord my wife did not like me wearing the red hat” referring to the Make America Great Again hat that former President Trump used in his rallies. “Being a good wife, she just wanted to protect me and our family. I made me and our family a target by not aligning with Hollywood’s political stance and that was hard for our marriage.” He added.
Kanye expressed his support for then-President Trump in April 2018 in a series of Tweets. Shortly after, he also posted a picture of himself wearing a Make America Great Again hat alongside a series of tweets defending President Trump which became a subject of controversy and created a massive liberal outcry.
In the same month, Kanye also shared his support for conservative commentator Candace Owens and wrote “I love the way Candace Owens thinks.” Which was a subject of a further outrage amongst Hollywood elites.
On October 11, 2018, Kanye visited the Oval Office for a meeting with President Trump to discuss a range of issues. He and several other musicians watched Trump sign the Music Modernization Act. Kanye was the only major Hollywood celebrity back then to publicly support President Trump.
