Kevin O’Leary Outraged with Engoron’s Decision: A Shock to the Entire Real Estate Industry

Media personality and entrepreneur Kevin O’Leary blasted a New York judge’s decision to sentence Donald Trump to an astounding $355 million. He called the ruling “unjust,” “appalling,” and ultimately “un-American.”

With his decision on Friday, Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Arthur Engoron not only fined Trump heavily but also temporarily barred him from doing business in his home state of New York.

Renowned for his work on “Shark Tank,” O’Leary criticized the ruling, claiming that the decision creates a risky precedent for the entire real estate sector.

Speaking recently on CNN, O’Leary expressed his disapproval of the months-long fraud case, saying, “I don’t think this thing will ever survive appeal regardless of what the fine is.” Not even this makes sense.

In a special interview with The Post, O’Leary stated, “The fact that he was found guilty, you might as well find guilty every real estate developer on Earth.”

For three years, the judge’s ruling prohibits Trump from taking on any officer or director roles in New York. O’Leary views this as a move that will be harmful to both Trump and the larger business community.

“I’m not sure how someone got wounded, but what developer doesn’t demand the best price for every structure they construct? O’Leary stated.

O’Leary warned about the long-term effects this decision would have on American business, predicting an overturn on appeal.

“It’s detrimental to the nation,” he said. “This needs to be reviewed, appealed, and turned over because it is unfair to all those involved.”

Later on, he said, “If this verdict is upheld. All developers ought to be imprisoned. They have to be declared guilty. We have to force them out of business. You cannot treat each other in this way. Trump is not at issue.

It’s disgusting. It is unfair. It’s un-American, if I may say so myself, O’Leary continued.

Following the result, O’Leary referred to New York as “a loser state” and highlighted the possibility of firms leaving the state should the decision stand.

“We’re in disbelief. You’re clueless. the devastation caused to the real estate sector. Crazy,” he exclaimed.

Trump’s two eldest sons were also charged with a two-year business ban and a $4 million payment apiece as a result of the verdict.

In reaction, and amid the 2024 election cycle, Trump denounced what he saw as a biased and politically driven attack on the legal system, calling the ruling nothing less than an “election interference witch hunt.”
