“Who’s getting hurt in all these boycotts and stuff when people make mistakes, this cancel culture? It’s the working class people who don’t have any dog in the fight,” says Kid Rock in his interview with Tucker Carlson on Tuesday.

The singer-songwriter declared he is “over” with his boycott of Bud Light, recognizing that it is the workers who suffer the brunt of this cancel culture. He furthered, that he is ready to move on and would rather not be the face of crushing people’s jobs and livelihoods.

“They deserve a black eye and they got one.”

“Someone gets taught a lesson, you said, ‘we made a mistake’ – alright man, let’s move on,” Ritchie said. “We’ve done it for a whole lot worse.”

Rock’s decision to end his rift with the beer brand signals good news for Bud Light who experienced a drop in sales since their Pride campaign last April.

In a report by the beer company, their profit is still down by 30% despite their efforts on marketing and new ad campaigns focusing on music and football.

Last April, the musician fired shots at cases of Bud Light in protest of the beer company’s partnership with transgender and social media influencer Dylan Mulvaney.

Rock added that he intended to “make a statement that a lot of us aren’t cool with this.”

He also explained to Carlson how he is “not the type of person to kick man when he’s down.”

“There’s nothing wrong with giving a spanking,” he said. “You don’t spank them for the rest of their life.”

However, before his interview with Tucker, the rockstar whose real name is Robert James Ritchie, hits Target for releasing a Pride collection for releasing “tuck-friendly” bathing suits.

“Black Friday is here! You could go to Target and get a great deal on a women’s swimsuit with a penis pouch … or you could buy tickets to the most patriotic music gatherings in the world! http://rockthecountry.com Hope everyone had a terrific Thanksgiving, God Bless. -Kid Rock,” he posted on X, formerly Twitter.

Despite denying that they had “tuck-friendly” suits for kids’ collection, a spokesperson for the company admitted that “the tuck-friendly swimsuits are offered only in adult sizes.”

According to Target’s Chief Executive Brian Cornell, they had to pull out Pride merchandise from their shelves as their workers were receiving backlash.

“As you know, we have featured a pride assortment for more than a decade. However, after the launch of the assortment this year, members of our team began experiencing threats and aggressive actions that affected their sense of safety and well-being while at work.”
