The communist-loving New York Judge Arthur issued his verdict on Donald Trump’s civil fraud case, led by New York Attorney General Letitia James last Friday.
Letitia James who has long sought to “get” Trump, wants $370 million in damages and his businesses out of the state.
With this, Engoron ruled that the Trump family should pay more than $350 million in fines to New York and banned them from operating in the state for three years.
The leftist judge claimed Trump and his associates ” participated in aiding and abetting the conspiracy to commit insurance fraud by their individual acts in falsifying business records and valuations, causing materially fraudulent SFCs to be intentionally submitted to insurance companies.”
Donald and Eric Trump also suffered the same fate and were asked to pay $4 million each.
Engoron further alleged that “There is also sufficient evidence that Donald Trump, Jr. and Eric Trump intentionally falsified business records. They served as attorneys-in-fact for Donald Trump and were under a heightened duty of prudence.”
The former president said, “This is a case that should have never been brought, and I think we should be entitled to damages.”
Trump has repeatedly remarked that the ongoing trial was largely political.
Earlier last month, he exposed that James and Judge Engoron were Democrats and both of them are working hard to derail his campaign trail.
According to NBC News, James contended that the defendants used the inflated financial statements to obtain bank loans and insurance policies at rates he otherwise wouldn’t have been entitled to.” She further alleged that the former president “reaped hundreds of millions of dollars in ill-gotten gains.”
Ironically, the people whom James claims she is defending expressed support for Trump and his legal battle.
In November, a Deutsche Bank executive who worked to approve at least one of Trump’s loans testified that it is “atypical, but not entirely unusual” to reduce a client’s asset values and still approve a loan.
Donald Trump Jr. slammed the decision and called it “absolute insanity” and “absolutely despicable.”
“The facts of the law don’t matter. Your party affiliation and where you live is going to be the determining factor from now on in our courts of law,” Don Jr. said.
“They’ve shown that now, time and time again, and it’s absolutely disgusting.”
Additionally, Trump’s attorney, Alina Habba, pressed that their team will appeal the decision swiftly.
“Given the grave stakes, we trust that the Appellate Division will overturn this egregious verdict and end this relentless persecution against my clients.”
