After the recent shooting on July 4 at a parade in Highland Park, Illinois, mainstream media and social media are quickly resorting to partisan politics.

Robert “Bobby” Crimo III, 21, shot and killed 7 people and injured more than two dozen at a 4th of July parade in Highland Park, Illinois.

Many are quick to say that Crimo is a Trump supporter. They use at least two photos from his social media to justify that theory.

This first picture shows Crimo dressed as “Where’s Waldo” at a Trump rally.

This second one shows him wearing a Trump flag.

Both pictures seem to be done mockingly, but the motivation behind attending the rally and the intent of the pictures is not known.

Many people are quick to say that Crimo was a Trump supporter at first glance of the photos.

Conversely, many pictures also show Crimo dressed in what appears to be Antifa-style garb. Crimo’s likes and who he followed on social media included many Democrat or left-leaning accounts. Some speculate it could be “hate follows”, in which people mockingly follow accounts, or if he supported the accounts he followed.

There is an “awake the rapper fan club” account on Twitter that followed Democrat accounts and left-leaning accounts. Crimo called himself Awake the Rapper for his music.

Here is a photo of himself he took at a Trump rally, but this time, he is wearing what appears to be Antifa Black Bloc gear. It is unclear whether he was affiliated with Antifa.

It has also been reported that Crimo dressed up as a girl to throw off police, on July 4.

The New York Post reported:

Robert E. “Bobby” Crimo III, 21, wore women’s clothing in a bid to conceal his identity and his distinctive tattoos during Monday’s slaughter in the wealthy Chicago suburb, authorities revealed Tuesday.

A surveillance photo obtained by local outlet WGN-TV shows Crimo allegedly wearing what appears to be a long black wig as he fled the scene of the mass shooting.

He was also allegedly dressed in a long-sleeve shirt, black gloves, and a neck scarf, according to the image.

Crimo, who was carrying a black backpack, had headphones in and was clutching a phone, too, the alleged footage shows.

The seven people who lost their lives on July 4 were 64-yea-old Katherine Goldstein, 35-year-old Irina McCarthy, 37-year-old Kevin McCarthy, 63-tear-old Jacquelyn Sundheim, 88-year-old Stephen Straus, 78-year-old Nicolas Toledo-Zaragoza, and 69-year-old Eduardo Uvaldo.

Crimo is charged with seven counts of first-degree murder. Dozens more charges are expected to be filed in the coming days. He has a court date set for July 28. He is being held without bond.
