Former South Carolina Governor and ex-UN Ambassador, Nikki Haley, disclosed her nomination for the 2024 Presidential elections on Tuesday.
With this announcement, she has become the second GOP representative to officially declare her candidacy.
Earlier this week, on Tuesday morning, Haley declared her decision to compete via a video message.
She was pointing towards several GOP members while stating, “It’s time for a new generation of leadership – to rediscover fiscal responsibility, secure our border, and strengthen our country, our pride, and our purpose.”
Trump grilled Haley in a statement that he issued on Wednesday this week. The statement was titled “The Real Nikki Haley.”
The former U.S. President, Donald Trump, blasted Nikki Haley on various grounds. The reasons included Haley’s praises for Hillary Clinton. Trump also grilled her over her support for Paul Ryan, who was planning an entitlement reform, which might have endangered Social Security and Medicare.
Trump also blamed Haley for not backing the border wall plan, as she is pretty weak when it comes to immigration policies. He added that Haley didn’t even support a transgender washroom bill to guard children.
Haley has also been previously grilled for backing and dispatching American fighter jets to escalate the Ukraine-Russia war.
Trump initiated his campaign for the 2024 presidential elections with his team from South Carolina. However, South Carolina’s ex-governor, Nikki Haley was excluded from Trump’s team.
Haley was looking to declare her candidacy for the 2024 presidential race for quite some time.
