Swing states change. Florida has been a swing state for as long as I can remember. It has always been the one that decides the winner of a presidential election. If a presidential candidate didn’t win Florida, they didn’t win. However, swing states change, and according to the statistics, Florida may leave its swing-state status behind.
The Florida Republican Party has added 82,900 more voters to its ranks since the last major U.S. election cycle in 2020. Flordia may remain a red state.
According to the official data from the Florida Division of Elections, 5,135,749 people registered as Republicans compared to 4,959,838 registered as Democrats.
“The registration numbers reflect Florida’s gradual shift toward becoming a solidly red state. After the 2022 election, it’s likely Florida may no longer be a swing state,” Politico reported.
The answer to this dilemma for the Democrats is straightforward. It’s because of Ron DeSantis. Biden has been more aggressive with DeSantis, and it is backfiring. Not even Florida’s First Lady, Casey DeSantis, is holding back. Flordia was managed better, and the voters know it.
According to a previous Raging Patriot article by Nicolelear, Casey DeSantis has fired back herself.
“She blasted the Biden administration for leaving out the “real reason” for learning loss after their recent report came out.”
The article notes the tweet that DeSantis tweeted on Wednesday.
“The latest’ report’ from the Biden administration ignores the real reason for catastrophic learning loss: Democrat lockdowns. While other states were locking people down, in Florida [Governor Ron DeSantis] lifted people up – Kids were in school, in person.”
“Hispanic voters have steadily been shifting toward the Republican Party, as demonstrated by the recent victory of Texas Republican Rep. Mayra Flores and former President Trump’s support among members of the Hispanic community.” The Daily Caller News Foundation reported.
Democratic National Committee Finance Director Chris Korge told Politico:
“I think the White House absolutely thinks we need to be engaged there now rather than waiting until 2024 when it becomes more expensive to stop [DeSantis]. We are going to be engaged in the midterm and, you can quote me on this, the DNC is absolutely not giving up on Florida.”
According to the Biden administration, Governor Ron DeSantis is public enemy number one. The DNC considers him a threat. The Democrats consider voters a problem. Governor Ron DeSantis is the pebble in their shoe, and he isn’t going anywhere.
