This week Kayleigh spoke out on the FBI raid of former President Donald Trump’s home.
She said there is a bias from the FBI and that the raid just “pours fuel on that fire.”
“The agents were apparently there from 9 a.m. to 6:30,” she stated, “…that is nine and a half hours as they’re scouring through Melania’s closet, and breaking open safes – apparently, the attorneys were not just not allowed in, they were told to turn off security cameras, which they did not do. Good move.”
“…Apparently, the DOJ lawyers, according to Trump representatives, were very rude, and they kept saying over and over again, ‘We have full access to everything, we can go anywhere.’ It feels like the full power of the federal government raining down on a political enemy.”
On Thursday, Attorney General Merrick Garland announced that he approved the warrant and filed a motion to unseal it.
There are also reports that the FBI had a secret informant that had access to Trump’s home and was taking note of the classified documents.
However, Trump has stated that he was working with the FBI and the National Archives to get all the documents returned.
Trump released a statement after the raid.
He said it was a “weaponization of the Justice System” and an “attack by Radical Left Democrats who desperately don’t want me to run for President in 2024, especially based on recent polls, and who will likewise do anything to stop Republicans and Conservatives in the upcoming Midterm Elections.”
Many Republicans stand behind Trump and are even calling for the FBI to be defunded.
Matt Gaetz tweeted, “If Democrats want to defund the police, they should start with the FBI.”
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene said, “DEFUND THE FBI!”
Rep. Jim Jordan went on Fox News and said, “What were you really doing? What were you looking for? Why not talk to President Trump and have him give the information you’re after?” Jordan questioned angrily. “This is unbelievable!”
House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy tweeted a warning to Garland.
“I’ve seen enough. The Department of Justice has reached an intolerable state of weaponized politicization,” McCarthy tweeted. “When Republicans take back the House, we will conduct immediate oversight of this department, follow the facts, and leave no stone unturned,” McCarthy wrote. “Attorney General Garland, preserve your documents and clear your calendar.”
Could the FBI actually be defunded? We will see after the midterm elections.
