The patriot judge presiding over the Kyle Rittenhouse trial in Kenosha County Courthouse just announced that the mainstream media network MSNBC is banned from his courtroom.
This announcement comes after a man was accused of following and doxing the jurors in this case. The accused man claimed to be a producer for MSNBC.
James Morrison, the alleged suspect was pulled over on Wednesday after he was caught pursuing a bus that transports jurors from the courthouse.
“He stated that he had been instructed by [a superior] in New York to follow the jury bus,” Judge Bruce Schroeder said.
The Kenosha police department confirmed today that the person was “alleging to be affiliated with a national media outlet” and was issued “several traffic related citations”
“Last night a person who is alleging to be affiliated with a national media outlet was briefly taken into custody and issued several traffic related citations. Police suspect this person was trying to photograph jurors. This incident is being investigated much further” according to a Tweet from the Kenosha Police Department
The police department also confirmed that there was “no breach of security regarding the jury, nor were there any photographs obtained”
Judge Schroeder called this an “extremely serious matter” and banned all MSNBC journalists from attending the trial.
“I have instructed that no one from MSNBC News will be permitted in this building for the duration of this trial. This is a very serious matter,” he said.
NBC News in a statement confirmed that one of their freelancers received traffic citations on Wednesday but denied that he was attempting to photograph or contact the jurors.
“Last night, a freelancer received a traffic citation. While the traffic violation took place near the jury van, the freelancer never contacted or intended to contact the jurors during deliberations, and never photographed or intended to photograph them. We regret the incident and will fully cooperate with the authorities on any investigation.” An NBC spokesperson said.
