Defunding the 87,000 IRS agents that the Biden administration was planning to hire has been a top issue for Republicans since regaining a majority in the house.
Many Republicans have been very against the IRS and have wanted it to be removed and replaced with nothing. Ted Cruz a senator from Texas perhaps has been the biggest supporter of this idea, tweeting many times calling for the IRS to be abolished.
If Ron DeSantis is elected president he could make many moves to limit the power of the IRS, which would be something that many Libertarians would vote for and could draw in many small businesses and other people to vote for Ron.
