Stupid Democrats are more concerned with promoting woke policies instead of governing the country. The best example here is Gavin Newsom’s California.
For more than a decade now, Newsom’s rallying call for every election season was “Homelessness is my #1 priority.”
However, this wasn’t the case, as the lame-ass governor of Golden State is more concerned with meddling in family affairs and taking away parental rights to their children to push their DEI agenda.
Newsom approved on Tuesday the AB 1955, which effectively prohibits schools from making rules requiring parental notification if a child identifies with a different gender.
California was the first state to do so. What a remarkable achievement.

The Assembly Bill 1955, or the “Support Academic Futures and Educators for Today’s Youth Act” justifies their law as the right for an LGBT member to “Choose when to ‘come out’ by disclosing an LGBTQ+ identity, and to whom, are deeply personal decisions, impacting health and safety as well as critical relationships, that every LGBTQ+ person has the right to make for themselves.”
The bill fuels familial differences instead of allowing families to resolve conflicts. Newsom’s law allows the state to interfere in the affairs of its citizens and take away the rights of the parents to be informed about their children’s conditions.
The State Superintendent of Public Instruction, Tony Thurmond, sponsored the bill. Thurmond was dismissed last year for disorderly conduct from a school board meeting in Chino Valley, California, where the board signed a policy requiring schools to inform parents if children preferred to change genders.
Newsom defended the policy as an attempt to prevent “outing” students, whom he claims will suffer bullying if they revealed their gender identity.
When confronted last year, Newsom argued that it wasn’t an issue worth talking about and then went on claiming that the lives of these transgender “kids” are in danger.
“The kids just want to live,” the California governor whined.
For conservative parents and supporters, the law is an attempt to “keep parents in the dark while schools indoctrinate kids with radical gender ideology.”
According to Harmeet Dhillon, CEO and Founder of the Center for American Liberty, “In school districts across California, parents fought back against parental secrecy policies by running for school boards and passing policies that ensure parents are informed about their kids’ education and wellbeing. By signing the bill, Gov. Newsom is transferring power away from our local communities and centralizing it in Sacramento, blatantly undermining our democratic values. AB 1955 is a cowardly response to legal battles over parental notification policies adopted by the Chino Valley Unified School District and other districts that require schools to inform parents when their children request a name or gender change at schools.”
In a recent poll by Rasmussen, the majority of respondents and California voters back parental notification policies.
However, since Democrats hold both seats of power in the state legislature, the voice and the will of many Californians will certainly be ignored.
