New York Giants NFL icon Lawrence Taylor and Super Bowl legend O.J. Anderson joined forces to endorse Donald Trump on Saturday during a campaign rally in Wildwood, New Jersey.
The two sports legends expressed their love for their “golf partner” and vowed never to vote for a Democrat again.
“I just wanted to say, I grew up a Democrat, and I’ve always been a Democrat—until I met this man right here,” remarked Taylor, referring to Trump.
The GOP frontrunner flexed at the event with a record-breaking crowd of 80,000, a number Biden has yet to match.
“I’ll tell you what: He will not have to worry about anybody in my family ever voting for a Democrat again, OK?”
Anderson, Taylor’s teammate and Trump’s golf buddy, added: “Don’t you just love that guy?”
“I tell you, it has been a very exciting day. You guys, there is not one person left here.”
“You’re still here, yelling and screaming.”
Trump thanked his “golf partners and said, “We’re joined tonight and today by two incredible football legends, New York Giants Super Bowl heroes.”
“I guess I would have to say Lawrence Taylor is the greatest defensive player ever. I’m a little prejudiced, but I would say that.”
“And a man who was possessed during the Super Bowl. He was a Super Bowl MVP. Otis O.J. Anderson, come on up, fellas, for a second. Come on up.”
“These guys. Look at him. Lawrence, you look like you could play immediately. They could use you. Come on up. These guys are serious players.”
“You know they’re my golfing partners too. Tell them. Can Trump play golf? You have to tell them.”
The majority of those who attended the rally believed Trump would overcome the Garden State in November.
Rod Delaine, who’s from New Jersey and an Amazon worker in Staten Island, said he drove for almost 2 and a half hours to see Trump.
Another supporter introduced herself as Anna, who said she attended the event because of the economic conditions.
Many also claimed that the country needed Trump to bring back how things were under his presidency.
“I think this country needs to change. Although, we already know what Trump’s all about. So, that change is just going to come right back to us because that’s what we need,” said one attendee who identified himself as Carlos.
“We need Trump because I don’t think Biden is just getting the job done right now. Some of it’s his fault. Some of it is probably the people around him. But I think we need Trump back to get this country back to where it needs to be.”
