“No Wonder Most of Their Content Sucked:” Elon Musk Savages DEI Guidelines of Disney

Tesla CEO Elon Musk doubles down on his tirade against Disney and its CEO Bob Iger through a series of tweets on Wednesday and Thursday.

Musk lambasted Disney’s recent DEI memo. One of his tweets featured an image with DEI’s standards and guidelines on DEI and suggestions on how to achieve them.

According to the billionaire mogul, Disney’s DEI Gestapo is “racist, sexist and discriminatory. He further alludes to this program as to why Disney’s rating continues to drop.

“No wonder most of their content sucked,” savaged Musk.

The DEI standards were intended for its “General Entertainment Content”, which includes television brands and businesses like ABC Entertainment, ABC News, FX Networks, Hulu Originals, and National Geographic.

Found on the same list of inclusion standards is Disney’s campaign “Reimagine Tomorrow”, which was launched in 2021 to allegedly amplify “underrepresented voices.”

Another point in the “standards” is its mandatory guideline to hire 50 percent of regular and recurring artists and develop characters from marginalized groups.

Musk slammed these guidelines and expressed how this move is “going to crush the creative process!”

On February 6, the billionaire enjoins anyone suppressed and canceled by Disney amid their effort to impose DEI on its hiring policies.

Musk said: “If you were discriminated against by Disney or its subsidiaries (ABC, ESPN, Marvel, etc), just reply to this post to receive legal support.”

Coinciding that day, actress Gina Carano filed charges against Lucasfilm and the Walt Disney Company through Musk’s backing.

According to Carano, Disney dropped her from “The Mandalorian” in 2021 for her conservative political views.

The actress took to X to express her statement: “Nothing could be further from the truth. The truth is I was being hunted down from everything I posted to every post I liked because I was not in line with the acceptable narrative of the time. My words were consistently twisted to demonize & dehumanize me as an alt-right-wing extremist. It was a bullying smear campaign aimed at silencing, destroying & making an example out of me.”

In 2021, Disney released a statement on Twitter canceling Carano, “Gina Carano is not currently employed by Lucasfilm & there are no plans for her to be in the future. Nevertheless, her social media posts denigrating people based on their cultural & religious identities are abhorrent & unacceptable.”

Carano furthered in her statement, “The thing is I never even used aggressive language. I shared thought-provoking quotes, pictures, memes & occasionally I used my own words, not with aggression but with respect & the occasional comedy to keep the mood light in dark times.”

She even challenged users to check her posts themselves and weigh if she did compare Republicans to the Jewish people in the holocaust.

The actress clapped back on Disney and questioned their intentions: “Ask yourself why they were calling me a racist, was there any merit behind that or history of it whatsoever? NO.”

“Were my questions about masks, lockdowns & forced vaccines ok to ask & push the subject into the light? Should we have been allowed to publicly discuss those topics at that time without being harassed or censored? Absolutely.”

Ending her statement, Carano thanked Elon Musk and X for giving her a chance to “bring [her] case to light.”
