It was a perversely amusing twist for Americans who watched professional outrage artist, runner Gwen Berry following her dismal Olympic performance in Tokyo last night.
The athlete, who turned her back on the American flag and was reportedly “pissed” that the Star-Spangled Banner was playing, finished in a pathetic 11th out of 12 places.
Berry, it seems, was fairly clearly more interested in representing her disdain for America and its system then she was in representing the country on the sacred stage of the Olympics. She has previously bleated and whined to the Black News Channel that she was “set up”after receiving sanction from the Olympic Committee following her escapade at the 2019 Pan Am games in which she raised her fist in protest and , solidifying her status as a professional victim, said that the act cost her thousands of dollars and sponsorships.
When asked what made her feel so uncomfortable standing on the platform listening to the National Anthem, Berry, in the full dogmatic embrace that is required of social justice warriors, said “history”. After stumbled through some comments about the Anthem’s ties to slavery, she said that the anthem does “not speak for black America”. Berry seems to have christened herself the spokeswoman for all black people which should strike one as both morally presumptuous and tacitly wrong.
It was just last month that Berry said that she will “represent the oppressed people,” she said. “That’s been my message for the last three years.” should she win a gold medal. While it seems like it will be a long flight home for the controversial complainer, at least it seems that Berry can now represent the only person she truly can represent herself and perhaps her hollowed yelps that she claims represent that black community will take on a slightly softer tone.
