A new study conducted by scientists from Bristol Royal Hospital revealed that 99.995% of children or teenagers under 18 years old survived the COVID-19 virus.
Yahoo News reports Bristol scientists revealed that out of 3,105 fatalities of those under 18 years old in the first year of the outbreak, only 25% were related to COVID-19. “99.995% of CYP [children and young people] with a positive [coronavirus] test survived,” Bristol scientists claimed.
The study also suggested that fatalities in adults older in age are more common, as well as those with a pre-existing medical condition and those of the Asian or Black ethnicity, according to Yahoo News. The results of the study have not been published in a peer-reviewed journal.
