Florida’s Osceola County Sheriff’s Office reported that they made many arrests as a part of their Operation Bad Apples which was aimed at catching sexual predators.

This was a joint operation conducted by the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office and the United States Marshals Service.

They arrested an astounding 56 individuals who were sex offenders and predators.

“The operation had a primary focus, but not limited to; sexual offenders and sexual predators who have prior state or federal convictions for production, transmission, and/or possession of child pornography/sexual performance of a child; transmission of harmful material to a minor; or video voyeurism,” the sheriff’s office said in its press release statement.

This operation produced “56 arrests of sexual offenders and predators in reference to violations of their statutory sex offense restrictions and or new law violations,” the press release reads. “All arrestees were booked and transported to the Osceola County Jail.,” it adds.

The statement continued, “Federal law defines child pornography as any visual depiction of sexually explicit conduct involving a minor (persons less than 18 years old). Images of child pornography are also referred to as child sexual abuse images.”

It went on to explain the dangers of the internet and how readily available it is.

“The expansion of the Internet and advanced digital technology lies parallel to the explosion of the child pornography market. Child pornography images are readily available through virtually every Internet technology, including social networking websites, file-sharing sites, photo-sharing sites, gaming devices, and even mobile apps. Child pornography offenders can also connect on Internet forums and networks to share their interests, desires, and experiences abusing children, in addition to selling, sharing, and trading images.”

According to the Department of Justice, graphic images of child porn are not protected by the First Amendment and are illegal.

Thanks to this operation these child predators and monsters were put in prison for their disgusting crimes.

“Operation Bad Apple resulted in 56 arrests of sexual offenders and predators in reference to violations of their statutory sex offense restrictions and or new law violations. All arrestees were booked and transported to the Osceola County Jail,” the press release states.

In March of this year, there were over 100 arrested in a child predator sting. Operation March Madness 2took down 108 people accused of human trafficking, facilitating prostitution, and preying on children.

Over 100 arrested were made in the six-day undercover investigation according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.

Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said the “grand slam” arrests were four child sex predators.

One of the four child predators arrested was Xavier Jackson, 27, a lifeguard at a Disney resort.

“He thought he was chatting with a 14-year-old girl and he sent photos of himself doing things that are totally inappropriate,” Judd said.

Jackson was arrested and faces multiple charges, including three counts of transmission of material harmful to a minor and unlawful use of a two-way communication device. News 6 reached out to Disney and we’re told Jackson is on unpaid leave.

Thanks to law enforcement, many child predators are in prison and unable to harm children again.
