“OUCH”: Joe Biden is Humiliated by Jeff Bezos For Lying About Inflation, “It’s Either Straight Ahead Misdirection Or…”

Source: Entrepreneur

It’s hard to pin people like Jeff Bezos. Where does he stand? Keep in mind that billionaires like Jeff Bezos have consistently supported democrats. Remember, Jeff Bezos owns the same Amazon that bans conservative-leaning books. “Johnny the Walrus,” a children’s book by Matt Walsh, didn’t stand a chance. Now Amazon is doing the same thing with Matt Walsh’s book “What Is A Woman.”

In a recent set of Tweets, Biden said:

“My message to the companies running gas stations and setting prices at the pump is simple: this is a time of war and global peril. Bring down the price you are charging at the pump to reflect the cost you’re paying for the product. And do it now.”

Now apparently, we have to believe Jeff Bezos is based due to his recent response to such nonsensical wording from the Former Vice President:

“Ouch. Inflation is far too important a problem for the White House to keep making statements like this. It’s either straight ahead misdirection or a deep misunderstanding of basic market dynamics.”

The last time Bezos and the White House had shots fired was back in May this year. When Bezos criticized the Biden administration, the White House came out with this statement:

“It doesn’t require a huge leap to figure out why one of the wealthiest individuals on Earth opposes an economic agenda for the middle class that cuts some of the biggest costs families face, fights inflation for the long haul, and adds to the historic deficit reduction the President is achieving by asking the richest taxpayers and corporations to pay their fair share. It’s also unsurprising that this tweet comes after the President met with labor organizers, including Amazon employees.”

Bezos responded:

“Look, a squirrel! This is the White House’s statement about my recent tweets. They understandably want to muddy the topic. They know inflation hurts the neediest the most. But unions aren’t causing inflation and neither are wealthy people. Remember the Administration tried their best to add another $3.5 TRILLION to federal spending. They failed, but if they had succeeded, inflation would be even higher than it is today, and inflation today is at a 40 year high.”

I suggest not to walk away from these Tweet fights thinking Jeff Bezos is on your side. Billionaires like Bezos tend to benefit from policies that are contracting the economy because they can handle it. They can handle all the regulations while mom and pop shops shut down.

Take what Bezos says against the Biden administration with a grain of salt. If anything, this is faint outrage. Billionaires like him can withstand these economic changes. It’s harder for you because you don’t have the big bucks hang in there till the end.

Billionaires like Bezos cry, “Oh no, don’t do that; it will hurt the industry.” Then later, say, “We’re fine.”

The only way to give this exchange any credence is that billionaires are poking the bear they don’t normally poke. That’s how bad things are, but the Biden administration clearly doesn’t care.
