“I am hopeful that this is dead on arrival,” Rep. Cory Mills shared on Newsmax on Tuesday.
Rep. Mills questioned how the Senate managed to pull an all-nighter to fast-track approval of foreign funding allocated to Ukraine, Israel, Gaza, and Taiwan.
“Sen Schumer and the Senate work through the night for foreign countries, but NOT for America. Their priority is to send aid to countries like Ukraine, rather than prioritize securing our border here at home.”
For the Florida representative, the $95 billion foreign aid doesn’t stand a chance at the House.
He further said, “We have NO business funding Ukraine and involving ourselves in these endless wars that Joe Biden and the Democrats continue to push for while our border remains wide open and Americans remain at risk.”
Further questioning priorities held by the Senate, which is very un-American.
He encouraged fellow lawmakers to “start prioritizing [our] problems here at home and stop the failed foreign policies.”
He also blasted how Biden’s failed foreign policy led us to conflict in Iran and other countries abroad.
Mills, who is also an Army veteran, criticized the Democrats’ war package, resulting in strained foreign relations and worse, a waste of “American taxpayers’ hard-earned money.”
He further blasted how the Senate could focus its energies instead on prioritizing the interests of the American people. The lawmaker also highlighted how illegal encounters skyrocketed under Biden and Mayorkas, which is now at 8.5 million.
“This invasion cannot be ignored any longer,” told Mills.
With these data, Mills emphasized the need to urgently address the situation on the borders, which he described as a “serious humanitarian, national security, and health crisis.”
The lawmakers blasted the Senate for prioritizing Ukraine, he said, “Well, I’m sorry. I was elected by the American people. That’s who I represent. That’s who I protect and that’s where my priority is.”
Mills also agreed with Sen. J.D. Vance (R-Ohio), who called the Senate bill an impeachment time bomb, as it attempts to tie the hands of the next president in funding Ukraine’s war.
The Florida lawmaker emphasized how the country is at a $34 trillion deficit. “Next year, we are looking at over $900 billion just in interest for service payments. That is the equivalent of the entire national defense budget for the United States.”
Mills pressed fellow lawmakers to start prioritizing concerns at home. He said, “We have to start looking at a robust military. We have to start looking at securing the border. We have to start looking at economic growth strategies and getting back to energy independence. We can’t do that if our focus and priority is on securing Ukraine.”
“We need to be thinking about America.”
