Biden just got served with his own party’s liberal medicine as Rep. Cory Mills (R-Florida) slapped him with impeachment articles for withholding Congress-approved military support to Israel, the same one the Democrats used against then-President Donald Trump.
On Thursday, Rep. Mills filed with House counsel the motion to impeach the president, called the incumbent “Quid Pro Joe,” and used the same articles of impeachment written by Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-New York) against then-President Trump in 2019 for halting military action in Ukraine.
“I have submitted to House counsel and will pursue action tomorrow morning using the Dems’s own language, but Biden’s actual abuse of power,” Rep. Mills wrote on X.
In a Fox News interview, the Florida lawmaker added, “Joe Biden is pressuring Israel, our biggest ally in the Middle East, by pausing their funding that has already been approved in the House, if they don’t stop all operations with Hamas. It’s a very clear message, ‘this for that.'”
“These are the same accusations made against President Trump, which resulted in his impeachment by Democrats. The same must happen for Joe Biden, which is why we’re drawing up articles of impeachment now.”
Mills hit Biden for dangling lethal aid to force Israel to revise their defense policies.
“In violation of his oath to faithfully execute the office of President and to uphold the Constitution, President Biden abused the powers of his office by soliciting a ‘quid pro quo’ with Israel while leveraging vital military aid for policy changes. This egregious action not only compromised the credibility of the United States but also undermined the interests of our longstanding ally, Israel. Therefore, President Biden’s conduct warrants impeachment, trial, removal from office, and disqualification from holding any future office under the United States,” Mills further remarked in a statement.
These impeachment articles already gained supporters from fellow House GOP members.
Arkansas lawmaker Tom Cotton tweeted, “The House has no choice but to impeach Biden based on the Trump-Ukraine precedent of withholding foreign aid to help with reelection.”
“Only with Biden, it’s true,” Cotton added.
In a CNN interview that aired on Wednesday, Biden gave an ultimatum to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as they were gearing up to seize Rafah, the last bastion of Hamas terrorists.
Biden, who seemed to be in limbo as he pledged to Israel that the US would continue supporting its defensive systems, quipped, “If they go into Rafah, I’m not supplying the weapons that have been used historically to deal with Rafah, to deal with the cities that deal with that problem.”
