Lauren Boebert a congresswomen from Colorado recently helped file articles of impeachment against Joe Biden, she is a member of the freedom caucus and she has called for Bill Gates and China to be investigated for buying rapid amounts of farmland in the United States. Many Republicans over the years have called for investigations into Bill Gates, he has spoken in front of congress before in committees but Rep. Lauren Boebert wants a full on investigation of Bill Gates and what he’s doing with his farmland purchases. Elon Musk is another prominent figure who has voiced his concern over Bill Gates and many in the tech community share the same concerns.
China and Bill Gates have purchased much farmland in the United States which has concerned many people including Lauren Boebert. She tweeted the following:
Lauren Boebert isn’t the only Republican who has called for China to be banned from buying American farmland many states in fact have banned it, including Governor Kristi Noem of South Dakota a Republican who was one of the first to do it. But a ban of a person would be rare, but if congress deems that person to be a threat to America or the farmland they can do so.
As tensions rise between the United States and China, many states have taken action against China buying American farmland.
