Research Shows Abortion Causes Cardiovascular Disease in Women

Recent research revealed that pregnancy loss leads to increased chances of cardiovascular diseases.

A study by the Charlotte Lozier Institute was published in the International Journal of Cardiology, Cardiovascular Risk, and Prevention. It probed the Medicaid applications of lower-income women, including their history of miscarriages, heart-related ailments, diabetes, and hyperlipidemia before their first live birth.

The organization found that a pregnancy loss “is an independent risk factor for CVD risk following a first live birth, both for women with and without a prior history of CVD.”

The research also found that “adverse pregnancy outcomes, including miscarriage and stillbirth, have been identified by the American Heart Association as risk factors for CVD.”

The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists backed the American Heart Association’s recommendation to screen pregnant women for their pregnancy history.

Researchers also stressed, “While induced abortions are not specifically mentioned in either clinical recommendations, this and previous analyses underscore that it should be.”

Brad Mattes, president of the Life Issues Institute, slammed abortion advocates for telling women that killing their babies will benefit them mentally, financially, and physically.

“However, the evidence is mounting that abortion is a clear detriment to their health and wellbeing.”

For the research, respondents were categorized into five groups:

A: women with no pregnancy loss or CVD history before first live birth;

B: women with pregnancy loss and no CVD before first live birth;

C: women with a first CVD diagnosis after a first pregnancy ending in a loss and before their first live birth;

D: women with CVD before first live birth and no history of pregnancy loss; and

E: women with both CVD and pregnancy loss before their first live birth.

According to the study, the risk for heart ailments during the first to second trimester after a first live birth was 15 percent more common for the B group,  but a staggering 214 percent for the C group, 79 percent for the D group, and 129 percent for the E group, in contrast with group A.

“Will feminists follow the science behind abortion’s impact on women’s health? Or will it be more important to advocate an extreme political agenda of abortion on demand throughout pregnancy?”

“One day Americans will see if they stood on the right side of history.” Mattes said.

“The American Heart Association has been vocal in warning women of the link between miscarriage and heart disease. I hope that these numbers will motivate a similar warning on abortions,” remarked Dr. David Reardon of Lozier Institute.
