Never Trumper, RINO of All RINOS Senator Mitt Romney, who claimed in November last year that he’d rather vote for Democrats over Trump, threw jabs on President Joe Biden for spilling “cheap shots” against the Republicans in the State of the Union address.
Romney released a three-minute video on X sharing his reaction to Biden’s SOTU, saying “When he got into domestic policy, I’m afraid it was the same old liberal playbook, at least that’s the way I saw it.”
The senator argued that there may be some new chapters in this playbook but it’s the same idea. “I think people have gotten tired of that. They know he can’t deliver all those promises because any promise he makes has to get Republican votes.”
And the Utah lawmaker knows for sure that Biden isn’t going to get the GOP’s votes for any of his so-called domestic policies.
Romney also cited Biden’s plan to cut Social Security, which the senator countered, saying it’s “just simply wrong.”
“There’s not a Republican in the House or the Senate that is talking about cutting Social Security or is in favor of cutting Social Security. That’s just off the mark. Likewise, he said, you know, billionaires pay an average tax rate of 8%. That’s just wrong. The IRS publishes the tax pay amount by category. The top one-tenth of 1% pays a substantial percentage of their income. So, you know, I think those things missed the mark.”
For Romney, the “greatest mistake” Biden made during his SOTU was that he never discussed how “we’re going to deal with the deficit and the debt.”
“The interest payments are now going to exceed this year our military spending. This is a problem.”
And, you know, a couple of quick things. We’re going to get corporations to pay, you know, a certain amount. We’re going to try and raise taxes on billionaires. Those things aren’t going to happen, and they’re not realistic.”
“But then again, Democrats don’t like to do that,” Romney swiped.
“My own view is that what you saw tonight was a highly political speech, and it’s not going to move the needle,” the senator concluded.
Earlier this year, Romney defended Biden against Special Counsel Robert Hur’s report.
He even praised Biden’s unhinged press conference, saying he “thought he did a good job in the press conference.”
“I’ve worked with the president, and I haven’t seen anything that’s abnormal before.”

I don’t need Romney’s RINO rhetoric even though I’m glad he has seen that Biden lied through all his angry and vengeful venom he spewed out. All we need from Romney now his republican vote for Trump. After that, he can retire to his mansion in Utah. And he can take Cheney with him.
