A President of the United States was almost killed on Saturday, and no one was taking responsibility for the lack of security and utter incompetence the Secret Service has displayed.
The agency mandated to protect President Donald Trump washed off any accountability for allowing the murderer to climb up on the roof and shoot Trump as they claimed it was the local law enforcement’s responsibility to secure that perimeter while knowing that the area was a blindspot.
It remains unknown how Thomas Matthew Crooks, the 20-year-old suspect, was allowed to climb up the rooftop building that was 150 yards away from where Trump delivered his speech to rally attendees. The grave incident also sparked questions about how the Secret Service, whose primary task was to secure the President, ensured the security in the area.

Meanwhile, a spokesperson for the Pennsylvania State Police claimed that “all sources” that the Secret Service demanded were provided by the agency, including 30 to 40 police forces who assisted in securing the perimeter. However, he maintained that the State Police is “not responsible for securing” the building or the property it resides on.
Both law enforcement groups accuse each other of slacking on the job, delivering their own “side” of the story.
A local Pennsylvania news outfit reported that the local police saw Crooks move at the rooftop half an hour before the shooting and called it in.
Another rally-goer told the BBC that he alerted the police and the Secret Service about the shooter. He said, “…we noticed the guy crawling army, you know, bear crawling up the roof of the building beside us 50 feet away from us. So we’re standing there, you know, we’re pointing, we’re pointing at the guy crawling up the roof…”
“We could clearly see him with a rifle. Absolutely. We’re pointing at him. The police are down there running around on the ground. We’re like, ‘Hey, man, there’s a guy on the roof with a rifle.’ And the police were like, ‘Huh? What?’”
So the question now was, “Who decided not to act on the matter? Who commanded the forces to stand down?”
Even civilians were smart enough to think that the Secret Service should have positioned itself on all these roofs.
Yet the Secret Service plays the blame game.
Political commentator and former New York Police Department officer John Cardillo wrote on X, “This looks really bad. This looks like the counter sniper team had eyes on the shooter, let him fire first, then return fire.”
The FBI also wondered how the Secret Service waited before it neutralized the shooter.
According to Rep. Mike Waltz (R-Florida), anonymous sources informed him that “there have been repeated requests for stronger secret service protection for President Trump” but all these were rejected by Secretary Mayorkas.
Dan Bongino, a former New York Police Department officer and Secret Service agent called out Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle for “repeatedly” denying requests by Trump for more Secret Service protection.
“I want to repeat, and can absolutely confirm, the USSS Director Kim Cheatle has repeatedly turned down requests for a larger security footprint around President Trump. Despite knowing the threat level is catastrophic. Resign tonight,” Bongino shared on X.
