On Wednesday evening, former President Donald Trump went on Fox News’s “Hannity” to discuss the lawsuit by New York state against him as well as the recent raid of his Florida club, Mar-a-Lago.
Trump told Hannity that the FBI took one item during the raid that “could cause a lot of problems.”
“They took a computer from one of the offices in Mar-a-Lago, and it’s a very powerful computer,” Trump said. “It’s a laptop.”
Trump said he does not know what is on the laptop, but he speculated that it may contain information about Mar-a-Lago members.
“If they have that computer, it’s got a lot of information on it about Mar-a-Lago,” Trump said. “It’s got a lot of information about people that like Mar-a-Lago.”
Trump also said that the laptop may contain information about his conversations with world leaders.
“I had many conversations with world leaders, and I could tell you that a lot of the conversations were taped,” Trump said. “I could tell you that for a fact.”
Trump said he does not know why the FBI would want the laptop, but he speculated that it may be because of the conversations he had with world leaders.
“Maybe they’re looking for something that I said that was a little bit off, I don’t know,” Trump said.
Trump also said that the raid was “very unfair” and that it was “politically motivated.”
“This is a purely political investigation,” Trump said. “They’re looking for something that they can find, and they haven’t found anything.”
Trump also said that the raid was “an attack on our country.”
“This is an attack on our country, this is an attack on what we all stand for,” Trump said. “This is a total disgrace.”
Trump also went on to say that the state of New York is “trying to destroy” him and his business.
“The state of New York is trying to destroy me and my business,” Trump said. “And it’s not just me, it’s other people too.”
Trump said that the state of New York is “harassing” him and his business.
“They’re harassing my children, they’re harassing my son-in-law, they’re harassing my daughter,” Trump said. “It’s a disgrace.”
Trump also said that the state of New York is “wasting taxpayer money” on the investigation.
“This is a waste of taxpayer money,” Trump said. “This is a total waste of time.”
Trump also said that he is “fighting back” against the state of New York.
“I’m fighting back, and I think I’m winning,” Trump said.
Trump also said that he will “never give up” and that he will “never settle” the case.
“I will never give up, I will never settle,” Trump said. “This is a political witch hunt, and I will win.”
Trump also said that he is “confident” that he will be vindicated in the end.
“I am confident that I will be vindicated,” Trump said. “And I think the American people know that I am innocent.”
Trump also said that he is “looking forward” to his day in court.
“I’m looking forward to my day in court,” Trump said. “And I think the American people will see that I am innocent.”
