Last week, Canadian leftist Prime Minister Justin Trudeau ordered all federally regulated institutions, including airports and military bases, to place free tampons and napkins in all toilets, including male restrooms.
The policy is said to be for “employee use, [and] not for members of the public.”
This earned backlash from the public, which includes Canadian Conservative Sen. Linda Frum, who posted on X, “Back in the day, when only women menstruated, we had to pay for our products. But now that men menstruate too, these products, as of this week, are mandated to be free in all men’s washrooms in all federal workplaces, including Parliament Hill, where this photo was taken today.”
A member of the House of Commons later confirmed that “they’re also going to build dispensers for all the tampons that won’t be used since 1) men don’t menstruate and 2) they are just going to bring them home to their wives for free.”
Canada’s Employment and Social Development website posted the regulation, which went into effect on December 15.
This new regulation was found laughable by netizens.
Andy Lee, a Canadian journalist, posted on X, “Food banks across Canada declare severe funding and food shortages, stating they are at “the breaking point” as usage spikes among crippling increased living costs.

Writer Patrick Brauckmann slams Trudeau’s policy and contrasts it with India’s opening of stadiums, train stations, and highways.
“India opened up a couple of stadiums this year, numerous train stations and highways and leads the planet in economic growth, but not in Canada. Justin’s big legislative agenda saw Canada triumphantly get tampons in men’s bathrooms. 🤣🤦♂️”
Another X user asked, “Should the USA follow suit? 🤣”
Conservative activist Melissa Rogers criticized the tampons in men’s bathrooms while adult diapers are not.
“Seriously, why are TAMPONS available in MENS bathrooms in Canada, but adult diapers are not?”
Some X users compared the policy to lunacy and a desperate attempt to “promote inclusivity.”
Many Canadians also expressed ire over the policy while ignoring the fact that the Canadian army needs to spend “$220 million to replace gear donated to Ukraine.”
An article by the Toronto Sun said that Prime Minister Trudeau took equipment from the country’s military and never replaced it.
Canadian military officers raised possible challenges with acquiring donated ammunition, which sometimes takes 3 years to be replaced.
Has Trudeau completely lost his mind? How much dumber could a person get. I know! Next Trudeau will have attendants available to help the men put those things on. And a person well trained in first aid to treat those attendants when they are unconscious
