“There is no crime here!” argued Florida’s former attorney general Pam Bondi.
While other legal analysts lamented that the testimonies of prosecution’s “witnesses” were “disastrous.”
Fox’s Jonathan Turley blasted convicted perjurer Michael Cohen as he described the cross-examination on Cohen as a “reckoning of biblical proportions.
Even Bill Barr, one of Donald Trump’s fiercest critics, has said that the case “is clearly going after The Man, not a crime. There is no crime here.”
His former payroll attorney, William Brennan, who stressed that he was no ‘Trumper,’ also said that there was no crime.
The statements of these analysts and lawyers were echoed by Donald Trump outside of the bogus hush money trial last Monday.
The president remarked before leaving the court, “We have a corrupt judge,” who is “keeping me from campaigning.”
“Every single legal analyst, even CNN, even MSDNC, they’re saying, ‘There’s no case here!’” Trump quipped.
With Michael Cohen testifying as their last witness, the prosecution now scrambles to prove their allegations of Trump.
Cohen and Daniels were their star witness. Unfortunately, both failed to shine at a time when the prosecution needed them to.
Daniels failed miserably on the witness stand.
Cohen struggled to prove to the jury that he was credible enough to believe that he acted under Trump’s orders, intending to protect his 2016 presidential campaign.
Meanwhile, Daniels’ husband Barret Blade, knowing the likelihood that Trump would be acquitted shared with CNN’s Erin Burnett last Tuesday their escape plan.
“If Trump is found not guilty, I think there is, I mean, either way, I don’t think it gets better for her.”
“I think if it’s not guilty, we got to decide what to do. Good chance that we’ll probably vacate this country.”
Daniel’s testimony last week has only proved what she is, a porn star. Even the corrupt Judge Juan Merchan could not stand her lewd recollection of her alleged encounters with the former president and prompted her to make her answers brief.
Blade added, “I don’t see it as a win situation either way,” he said. “I know that we would like to get on with our lives. I know that she wants to move past this. We just want to do what I guess you’d say normal people get to do in some aspects but I don’t know if that ever will be, you know, and it breaks my heart.”
However, Blade’s remarks contradicted Daniels’s actions last week, observers noted how her testimony was too “colorful.”
Former US Attorney Harry Litman shared with MSNBC how her claims must have caused more injury to Alvin Bragg than to Trump.
“There was a lot to see as far as the jury. We’re talking about a very, very colorful witness who detailed kinds of events and just efforts and ways of being that I think for the jury were fairly foreign. She spoke very quickly, nervously, she told a lot of jokes, but not all of them landed,” Litman said.
