According to a new report, Democrats are facing voters’ anger over the high cost of groceries.

The Labor Department’s report, published last week, found that grocery prices increased 13.1 percent in July from the year before, the sharpest yearly rise since 1979.

Although gasoline prices have slowly begun to drop, sky-high food costs are still leaving many people feeling upset and annoyed.
One Democrat, who wished to remain anonymous, said that the party is “out of touch” with the average voter and that they need to do something to address the issue.

The high cost of groceries is just one of many issues that voters are angry about, and it’s unclear how Democrats will be able to win them back in the upcoming election.

As the cost of groceries continues to rise, Democrats are facing mounting pressure from voters over the issue.

A new survey from The Wall Street Journal and NORC at the University of Chicago shows that 54 percent of respondents are extremely or very concerned about the price of groceries. That ranks second only to worries over gas prices.

The survey also found that 26 percent of respondents are somewhat concerned about grocery prices.

The rising cost of groceries has been a major issue since the 2020 presidential campaign, with candidates like Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) calling for bold action to address the problem.

But so far, the Democratic Party has been slow to act on the issue, and that is starting to anger voters.

“The Democratic Party needs to do more than just talk about the problem,” said one respondent in the survey. “They need to come up with a plan to fix it.”

Another respondent said that “the cost of living is rising faster than wages, and it’s becoming hard to make ends meet.”

As the November midterm elections approach, Democrats are facing mounting pressure from voters over the high cost of groceries and gas.

According to a new report from the Wall Street Journal, Rep. Tom Emmer (R-MN), chairman of House Republicans’ campaign arm, told the publication that “it’s a grocery and gas election.”

“The number 1 issue in every one of the battleground districts that we look at remains inflation and the economy,” Emmer said.

The report comes as families across the country are struggling to make ends meet, with many households reporting that they are cutting back on food and other essentials to save money.

In addition, the cost of gas has risen to its highest level in four years, further putting a strain on families’ budgets.

Democrats have been quick to point out that the Republican tax law is partly to blame for the rising costs, as they claim it has led to higher prices for many basic goods and services.

However, Republicans have countered that the Democrats are to blame for the high cost of groceries, as they have blocked attempts to pass legislation that would provide relief to families and have contributed substantially to inflation.

It remains to be seen how the issue will play out in the midterm elections, but it is clear that Democrats are facing an uphill battle in convincing voters that they are on their side.
