Pope Francis recently called President Biden’s stance on abortion incoherent. In an interview with Univision, the Pope said, “I leave it to Biden’s conscience and that he speaks to his bishop, his pastor, his parish priest about that incoherence,” when asked about Biden’s stance on Church matters.
The head of the Catholic Church was not referring to the numerous instances President Biden has seemed dazed and confused during speeches, press conferences, or simply walking around the White House. He was alluding to the President’s stance on the recent Roe V Wade ruling.
Joe Biden is just the second Catholic to become President of the United States. He refers to his religious background when he talks about the tragedies that have impacted him throughout his life and how his faith got him through those moments. It is common to rely upon one’s beliefs in times of mourning.
However, those moments appear to be the only instances President Biden is consistent with the Catholic Church. His stance on abortion and other hot-button topics conflict with Church dogma. However, those beliefs are now the foundation of the Democrat party.
John F. Kennedy was the only previous President to be a practicing Catholic. While it is true, that abortion was not as “hot” a topic during his tenure in office he did demonstrate beliefs that would have been Pro-life such as appointing Justice Byron White to the Supreme Court. Justice White wrote the dissenting opinion in the original Roe V. Wade ruling.
It is not surprising to see President Biden publicly speak about being a Catholic but also carry the party line of pro-choice. The Democrat party continues to move to the far left and anti-religious beliefs that will become stronger and stronger.
He is not the only member of the party doing this. Speaker of The House Nancy Pelosi is a practicing Catholic and outspoken supporter of women’s right to choose an abortion. She was recently banned from receiving Communion by San Francisco Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone.
Pope Francis, when pressed on politicians’ beliefs on abortion and the Sacraments, refrains from answering whether or not pro-choice proponents should be prohibited from receiving Communion. He wants to keep politics out of the Catholic Church.
In a recent interview with Reuters, Pope Francis stated, “When a bishop loses his pastoral nature, it causes a political problem.” He believes each individual, politics aside, must reconcile their stance on abortion with their Pastor.
The Pope does not hold back on his beliefs about abortion. He makes it very clear by saying, “a month after conception, the DNA of the fetus is already there, and the organs are aligned. There is human life.”
Democrats are quick to refer to the science when it comes to a variety of issues such as climate change, Covid-19, and vaccinations. The Pope agrees with the science, but in this case, the science supports the pro-life movement and the far-left Progressives, that are taking over the Democrat Party, don’t believe in that science.
