“They Failed To Do That”: Arizona Governor Humiliates Biden Admin, As Construction Begins On State’s Own Border Wall

The word “wall” has earned a great deal of division and commentary over the course of the last couple years. It is fascinating to think that such fervent debate and anger should spring forth from the seemingly innocuous word… “wall”.

In the aftermath of Trump’s presidency and the advent of the Biden regime, the word seems to be enjoying a bit of a Renaissance.

Now, the governor of Arizona, Doug Ducey, is planning an ambitious project in which he will endeavor to construct his own wall. The wall will, predictably, be aimed at stemming hot spot of high illegal immigration traffic.

It is now being reported that:

In a call with reporters Friday, the governor’s office announced that border construction began that morning using 60 shipping containers that will be stacked on top of one another.

Each shipping container weighs around 8,800 pounds and it will cost the state around $6 million to complete the project by next week, according to The Washington Examiner.

“This is an easy solution that Washington, D.C., just continues to fail to act on,” said Tim Roemer, the director of the Arizona Department of Homeland Security.

“We’re done waiting for them.”

State officials had not informed the Department of Homeland Security nor the White House about the surprise move: “Our hope is that they’ll be paying attention to the news today,” C.J. Karamargin, Ducey’s communications director, told reporters.

The Biden administration had announced that they would begin filling gaps along the southern border near Yuma, Arizona — after Sen. Mark Kelly (D-AZ) pressured the administration to do so late last month, with the Fall midterms approaching.

Kelly, who is up for reelection in November, previously voted against border wall initiatives three times in 2021.

The Arizonian has recently reversed course, however, as migrant encounters have reached a two-decade high.

statement released by the senator’s office stated: “After many months of pushing the Biden administration to close border barrier gaps near the Morelos Dam, today, Arizona Senator Mark Kelly announced that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has authorized Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to move forward with closing the gaps located near the Morelos Dam in the Yuma Sector.”

Kelly’s website went on to report that:

“For too long, the Morelos Dam area has been an operational challenge for Border Patrol agents to properly secure the border and keep our communities safe.

I’m glad that the Department of Homeland Security has listened to Arizona and is going to close these gaps. This is a step forward and I’ll keep working to ensure that Arizona has the tools needed for a secure and orderly process at the border including fencing and barriers where they make sense,” said Senator Kelly, who led the effort to close the gaps near Morelos Dam.

“Border Patrol agents fight every single day to secure our southern border, but the gaps near the Morelos Dam continued to put that work at risk.

I want to thank Senator Kelly for working with me and other community leaders by forcing action to close these gaps. This is an important first step to getting this border crisis under control, supporting our law enforcement, and keeping border communities safe,” said Yuma Mayor Douglas Nicholls.

So, the discussion and debate about the wall persists. We had previously reported on this a couple of months ago where President Biden himself was forced to build a border wall.

Indeed, Texas Governor Abbott issued an executive order that empowers the Texas National Guard. “While President Biden refuses to do his job and enforce the immigration laws enacted by Congress, the State of Texas is once again stepping up and taking unprecedented action to protect Americans and secure our southern border,” Abbott said. So, let the wall come up!
