Threat to KILL Trump appears in official Iran paper & Ayatollah places military on ‘full alert’ amid fears of US strike

In a significant escalation of hostilities, a hardline Iranian newspaper closely associated with Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has published a column advocating for the assassination of former U.S. President Donald Trump.

This development follows Trump’s recent threats to bomb Iran “like never before” should the nation refuse to negotiate a new nuclear agreement.

In response to these threats, Ayatollah Khamenei has reportedly placed Iran’s military on “full alert,” preparing for potential U.S. military action. Khamenei has firmly rejected direct negotiations with the United States, intensifying concerns over a possible military confrontation.

The call for Trump’s assassination is purportedly in retaliation for the U.S. drone strike in 2020 that killed Qassem Soleimani, a prominent commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). This incident has been a longstanding point of contention between the two nations.

U.S. authorities have been vigilant regarding threats from Iran. In November, an Iranian agent was charged with plotting to assassinate Trump, highlighting the persistent nature of these threats. The U.S. government has issued stern warnings to Iran, stating that any attempt on the former president’s life would be considered an act of war, leading to severe consequences.

Amid these rising tensions, Iran has reportedly accelerated its nuclear weapons program, developing warheads for missiles with ranges exceeding 1,800 miles, posing a threat to multiple regions. In response, the U.S. has deployed B-2 bombers to Diego Garcia, strategically positioning them within striking distance of Iran.

The international community remains on edge as diplomatic efforts have stalled, and both nations appear to be bracing for potential conflict. Observers are closely monitoring the situation, hoping for a de-escalation of hostilities and a return to diplomatic negotiations to prevent further escalation.
