Last December 5, the New York attorney general denied pleas from Donald Trump’s lawyers to expedite the process on their appeal against the reinstated gag order on Trump.

Trump’s attorneys slammed this and said “The American people have a right to hear the frank, uncensored speech of the leading Republican candidate for president amid his presidential campaign.”
Former President Donald Trump, with his lawyers, sought to urgently appeal the gag order in his civil fraud trial case in New York in a statement released last Monday.
New York Judge Engoron affirmed the gag-order which prohibits Trump from commenting publicly about Engoron’s court staff and was expanded to apply to attorneys related to the case.
Trump’s team expressed that the judge’s enforcement of the order exhibits extreme bias and “casts serious doubt” on his ability to serve as an “impartial finder of fact” overseeing the former president’s case.
“Without expedited review, Petitioners will continue to suffer irreparable injury daily, as they are silenced on matters implicating the appearance of bias and impropriety on the bench during a trial of immense stakes,” explained Clifford Robert, Trump’s attorney.
Social media influencer Laura Loomer also weighed in on this issue as she exposed Arthur Engoron’s connection to Philip Halpern, an anti-Trump prosecutor and Michael Cohen, Trump’s former lawyer who turned against him.
She also revealed a now-deleted X account, which many believe was managed by Engoron’s wife with the user name Dawn Marie. This account shares anti-Trump posts and other slanders against the Trump family.
Loomer also posted how the NY judge has made Trump’s trial a “family affair.” She shared images showing how Ian Engoron, Judge Engoron’s son got a reserved seat for the event.
Before the gag order, the judge also denied a mistrial appeal from the former President’s legal team.
Engoron was heavily scrutinized as he often sneered during the trial against Trump.
Attorney Alina Habba, Trump’s defendant, shared an unhinged episode with him in a courtroom, where he began “slamming” a table.
Democrat Judge Engoron also issued a judicial opinion on September 26 against Trump, his sons, and other business associates.
He was quoted, during Trump’s $250m fraud trial, “No, I’m not here and these people are not here, the office of the attorney general is not here to hear him.”
Despite the ongoing gag order, Trump remained undeterred and slammed how Engoron could not be impartial on the case as he defended his leftist-activist stance.
“Can this be happening in America? This is the most unfair Trial in the History of New York, and I’ve had some pretty unfair Trials!” said Trump.
Trump is expected to return to take the stand on December 11 as the final witness for the defense.
