Trump Clinched Blackstone’s Endorsement Amid Biden’s Failed Policies

Donald Trump, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, clinched another powerful endorsement as Blackstone CEO and co-founder Stephen Schwarzman expressed publicly that he will support President Donald Trump for president.

In a statement sent to Axios on Friday, Schwarzman cited the rising antisemitism in the Biden administration and the failed policies of the left for his support of Trump.

“The dramatic rise of antisemitism has led me to focus on the consequences of upcoming elections with greater urgency,” the CEO said.

“I share the concern of most Americans that our economic, immigration and foreign policies are taking the country in the wrong direction. For these reasons, I am planning to vote for change and support Donald Trump for President. In addition, I will be supporting Republican Senate candidates and other Republicans up and down the ticket.”

In a New York Post report last week, Schwarzman expressed his intentions to fund efforts in fighting antisemitism.

One source said that “Steve is Jewish and has always been worried about the rise of antisemitism, but he has now seen enough and wants to fight back.”

Before this, the billionaire CEO refused to support Trump’s reelection efforts, believing it was time for the GOP to support a new generation of leaders.

Schwarzman’s statement followed former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley’s confirmation that she will vote for Donald Trump in the 2024 elections.

Blackstone has been one of the world’s leading real estate companies and investors in leveraged buyouts for the past three decades.

According to Forbes Magazine, the Blackstone CEO is worth $38 billion as of May 2024, placing him among the top 50 billionaires worldwide.

Aside from Schwarzman, the professional wrestling magnate and former head of the Small Business Administration will also back the former president.

Budget hotel tycoon Robert Bigelow, former head of Marvel Entertainment Isaac Perlmutter, banking heir Timothy Mellon, and hedge fund billionaire Robert Mercer were among Trump’s top campaign contributors.

Hedge fund tycoon John Paulson earlier said that he would be happy to support Trump’s campaign.

Paulson said in March, “I am pleased to support President Trump in his re-election efforts.”

“His policies on the economy, energy, immigration and foreign policy will be very beneficial for the country.”

“We are receiving an overwhelming amount of support from donors.”

“This support, along with the landslide victory he achieved in the primaries, shows his strong support amongst Americans.”

Trump’s campaign has not responded to Schwarzman’s endorsement as of press time.
