Former president Donald Trump continues to outrun President Joe Biden, even in battleground states, which includes a ten-point lead in Michigan.

Biden won over Trump in Michigan during the last election. The same city where the president tries to maintain a good impression. Yet, in the latest CNN poll, the GOP Leader leads by 10 points against his opponent. This result comes as Trump topped the ratings at Iowa against his fellow Republican rivals.

In Georgia, where Trump is facing 13 counts of a lawsuit, he leads against the 81-year-old Democrat by 5 points.

New voters are highly in favor of Trump, where he leads by 26 points. Particularly in Michigan, the gap is remarkably 40 percent.

Biden’s approval rating in Michigan and Georgia plummets. For Michigan, he only achieved a 35% approval rating, and 39% in Georgia.

His disapproval rate all over the US surged to 58%.

Biden’s poor strategy in handling the Israel-Hamas war affects his ratings. Especially in Michigan, whose residents are mostly Arab-Americans.

Young voters aged 35 and below expressed dissatisfaction on how the US is doing too much to support Israel, 49 percent in Michigan and 46 percent in Georgia.

Most voters in both states say that Biden does not have the attributes they “seek in a president regarding policy, ability to grasp their problems, or his stamina and sharpness.

However, the elderly president gained a relevant mark against Trump on temperament, where around half of the respondents said that the GOP leader doesn’t have the temperament they want in a president, at a rating of 57 percent in Michigan and 58 percent in Georgia.

About 64 percent of voters in Michigan and 70 percent in Georgia also expressed that Trump’s indictments are irrelevant and only 27 percent said that if the former president was convicted they would doubt his fitness for the position.

Earlier, Biden was also outperformed by Trump as he achieved his lowest approval rating since gaining power.

In a Wall Street Journal poll, Trump’s lead advanced by four points, 47 percent against 43 percent, this is the survey’s first time to show that the MAGA leader is more favored than the incumbent.

The poll also found “49% of voters think Trump’s policies have helped them, while only 23% of voters think Biden’s policies have helped them. Voters think Trump would be better able to handle the economy, inflation, crime, border security, and the war between Israel and Hamas, while Biden is better able to handle abortion and tone in politics.”

Trump’s lead over Biden comes as he gains a foothold over the Republican party nomination.
