Former President Donald Trump continues to leave his rivals in the dust as he garnered a 32-point lead, the highest ever in Iowa caucus polls, against all Republican nominees with less than a week until the Iowa caucuses.
According to The Hill/Decision Desk HQ, Trump leads polls with 51.6 percent favorability, Ron DeSantis follows at 18 percent, and Nikki Haley at 17.1 percent.

The Beacon Research/Shaw Company Research gathered similar results, wherein Trump gained 52 percent of support from their respondents.
It is noteworthy that Trump, the GOP leading nominee, lost in the Iowa caucuses in 2016, which makes the event more significant as Trump looks forward to securing the nomination as soon as possible.
Iowa caucuses for the Republican presidential nomination are scheduled on January 15, which will be followed by New Hampshire’s primaries on January 23.
According to NBC News, Trump’s 32-point lead is “the largest recorded so close to a competitive Republican caucus in this Iowa’s poll history.”
The Republican leader “wants it to be the knockout blow,” says Jimmy Centers, a Republican political strategist based in Iowa.
Trump is looking forward to building his momentum as making it strong in Iowa builds voters’ confidence in early-voting states.
Iowa GOPers use the caucus system of voting as opposed to the primary ballots, used in other states. The caucus system of voting allows other groups to win over undecided voters.
Trump managed to turn his legal woes into fire which drives Americans to support his 2024 presidential campaign efforts.
The MAGA founder marked the third anniversary of the January 6 protest while campaigning in Iowa. He attended political rallies in Newton and Clinton, Iowa.
In his speech in Newton, the former president said, “You know this guy [Biden] goes around and says I’m a threat to democracy.”
“No, he’s a threat because he’s incompetent. He’s a threat to democracy.”
Trump also called those illegally detained January 6 demonstrators “hostages” and demanded Biden administration immediately “release” them.
“I call them hostages. Some people call them prisoners. I call them hostages. Release the J6 hostages Joe. Release them Joe. You can do it real easy, Joe.”
He also pledged to pardon those charged with the demonstration.
Aside from the Republican primaries, Trump also leads by a wide span against Biden according to the latest poll by Rasmussen Reports. In the survey, 48 percent of US voters preferred Trump, while only 38 percent favored Biden.
