Trump Joins TikTok, Instantly Gains 2 Million Followers

Well, that was fast!

Donald Trump has just swept TikTok after he joined the controversial social media platform. In just hours, the former president has instantly gained millions of followers.

“It turns out that there are over 2x the amount of Pro-Trump content creators than Joe Briben!” quipped The Raging Patriot.

The decision to join TikTok was part of Trump’s campaign objective to reach out to younger and more voters for his reelection bid for the Oval Office.

His first post was a video of him greeting supporters at an Ultimate Fighting Championship fight in Newark, New Jersey. His TikTok handle is @realdonaldtrump.

According to Steven Cheung, Trump’s spokesperson, their team will leave “no front undefended and this represents the continued outreach to a younger audience consuming pro-Trump and anti-Biden content.”

“There’s no place better than a UFC event to launch President Trump’s Tik Tok, where he received a hero’s welcome and thousands of fans cheered him on,” he added.

Another adviser to Trump, who requested anonymity, remarked, “The campaign is playing on all fields.”

“Being able to do outreach on multiple platforms and outlets is important, and this is just one of many ways we’re going to reach out to voters. TikTok skews towards a younger audience.”

Even Don Jr. started joining the app last week and has posted videos during the inauguration of El Salvador president Nayib Bukele and behind-the-scenes clips of scenes in the holding room of the Manhattan ‘kangaroo’ court.

Trump has an advantage in the embattled social platform, as a TikTok official shared on Puck that there is a 2:1 ratio of pro-Trump posts on the app to Biden.

TikTok has been facing immense pressure recently to divest after tyrant Biden approved a law in April forcing ByteDance to sell the platform or be banned in the US.

In 2020, Trump has been critical of TikTok due to national security issues. However, he reversed his statement last March, as the former president thinks that blocking the platform would hurt many Americans and will only reinforce the Meta Platforms’ Facebook, which he has long opposed.

TikTok and Bytedance had already filed an appeal against Biden’s law.

The company further clarified that they had no plans to divest TikTok, and they are ready to take the case up to the US Supreme Court, which is their only option to avoid the ban.

The former president is fairly active on social media–on X, he has 87 million followers, and over 7 million on his own platform, Truth Social, where he posts most of his views.

Donald Trump sacrificed a life of luxury to be convicted in a fake trial, with a rigged jury, a communist judge, a communist DA, a communist state AG, a Communist Governor, a communist DOJ, and a dictator living in the White House.
