Trump Likely to Announce VP Pick on July 18

MAGA, Are you ready for this?

Hold on to your seats because we are literally a few days away from finding out who our nominee for vice president is.

For months, speculations and shortlists after shortlist report President Donald Trump’s running mate.

The Republican National Committee Convention announced on Sunday that Trump 47 will host a fundraiser on July 18, together with President Trump and the “Nominee for Vice President.”

A flyer posted by Trump’s campaign calls supporters to attend the “Freedom First Event” and s as a high-profile fundraiser. Table prices, which will go to the former president’s campaign chest, cost between $200,000 and $300,000. Photo opportunities cost $100,000, and a reception ticket is $5,000.

The presumptive presidential nominee has been tight-lipped on who will be his VP pick. For months, various names were predicted to be part of his shortlist, but Trump hasn’t given any clue who his pick is.

His last hint was that his running mate would “most likely” attend the debate in Atlanta but asserts that “nobody knows” yet.

Among the VP contenders were in the post-debate spin room, including Senator Tim Scott (R-SC), North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum, Senator JD Vance (R-OH), Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL), U.S. Rep. Byron Donalds, U.S. Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY), former presidential primaries candidate Vivek Ramaswamy and Dr. Ben Carson.

ABC News last month reported that at least seven candidates received vetting documents from the Trump Team at the early stages of the selection process.

Some sources close to Trump remarked that he is also considering a few “dark horse” names, such as Ramaswamy and Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders.

One Trump insider remarked in an interview with the New York Post, “Trump is looking for three things.”

“He’s looking for who can raise money, he’s looking for who is an effective surrogate on TV with adversarial media, and he’s looking at who will do the best job debating Kamala Harris.”

Meanwhile, some of the names hinted to be part of his shortlist were North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum, former Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Ben Carson, and Arkansas Senator Tom Cotton.

Some favor Bergum which the former president described as a “central casting” choice.

Meanwhile, Carson, who is a Black Christian from Detroit, may increase his chances of bringing in more Black votes for Trump, who has been making strides among America’s minorities.

President Trump on June told news outlets that he will announce his pick at the Republican National Convention.
