Tulsi Gabbard, who is on President Donald Trump’s list as a possible running mate, suggests UFC commentator and podcaster Joe Rogan moderate a presidential podcast for Trump and Biden.
Gabbard joins the hosts of Off the Record in a podcast released on Tuesday.
When asked about debates, the former congresswoman said, “I agree; Joe Rogan should moderate a presidential podcast.”
“We won’t even call it a debate; just call it a conversation.”
Gabbard added that there should be an in-depth conversation among candidates about issues.
“Having 30-second, 60-second answers in a debate, what do you expect?”
“I know, because I prepared for it. I know if you’re going to ask me a question about border security, I’ve already prepped in advance what I’m going to say about it that lasts 30 seconds because I’ve timed myself.”
Gabbard also recalled a debate against VP Kamala Harris, who was then a senator, where Harris was left dumbfounded as the former lawmaker pointed out her record on criminal justice.
“Or, and this was that Kamala Harris exchange; I don’t even remember what question Jake Tapper asked me.”
“Because I didn’t care, I knew that in that moment, I needed to take that opportunity to point out her atrocious record on criminal justice, given that she was saying she would be the prosecutor president.”
Tulsi further criticized how debates are organized and the Presidential Debates Commission, which is supposed to be the “neutral arbiter for these debates.”
“I would not be surprised if we were to sit back down here on November 6, the day after Election Day, and talk about how screwed up it was that there were zero presidential debates.”
“That’s a very likely scenario in this election.”
The former Hawaii representative added that “even as screwed up as these debate formats are,” she would still support a presidential debate where voters have a chance “to have these candidates standing side by side on the stage talking about issues, or whatever, just talking.”
Meanwhile, in a statement to ABC News, Tulsi shared that RFK Jr. asked her to join his presidential ticket, which she rejected.
“I met with Kennedy several times, and we have become good friends,” she remarks.
“He asked if I would be his running mate. After careful consideration, I respectfully declined.”
Gabbard is also being eyed by Trump’s campaign team, and multiple sources say she’s among the former president’s short list of VP choices.
In March, she remarked that she was open to joining Trump’s ticket as a VP candidate.

I like her and her no nonsense attitude, I think she would possibly bring in a lot of woman to the ticket. There’s no doubt she is intelligent and could step in the presidency role. But has she woken up to the truth about democrats!??
