Jesse Watters is leaving the competition in his wake. The Fox News host saw two of his show’s land in the top five cable ratings for Tuesday.

Watters’ World came in at No. 3 with 2.64 million total viewers and 497,000 in the key 25-54 demographic. His 8 p.m. ET show, The Five, was right behind at No. 4 with 2.63 million viewers and 493,000 in the demo.

The only non-Fox News programs to crack the top five were MSNBC’s The Rachel Maddow Show at No. 2 (2.76 million/592,000) and CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360 at No. 5 (2.62 million/593,000).

Fox News’ Tucker Carlson Tonight was the most-watched program of the night across all of cable news with 2.79 million viewers. Maddow was second with 2.76 million.

The Five was the top-rated show in the key demo with 493,000. Maddow was second with 592,000.

Watters’ success comes as no surprise given his recent ratings streak. His show has been the No. 2 program in all of cable news for the past three weeks in total viewers and the key demo. And last week, he set a new record for the most-watched show in the history of Fox News’ 8 p.m. ET time slot.

The Five has also been on a roll, finishing as the No. 2 program in all of cable news for the past two weeks in total viewers and the key demo. Last week, the show set a new record for the most-watched show in the history of Fox News’ 5 p.m. ET time slot.

With two of its primetime shows in the top five, Fox News dominated the cable news ratings for Tuesday night. The network averaged 2.71 million total viewers and 500,000 in the key demo during primetime hours. MSNBC was second with 1.97 million total viewers and MSNBC was third with 989,000.

In the key 25-54 demo, Fox News averaged 500,000 viewers during primetime hours. MSNBC was second with 471,000 and CNN was third with 443,000.

During the 8 p.m. ET hour, Fox News averaged 2.63 million total viewers and 493,000 in the key demo. MSNBC was second with 1.86 million total viewers and CNN was third with 930,000.

“Attracting 53% of cable news viewers across primetime and 52% in total day, FNC continued to deliver over half the genre’s audience share.

“According to Nielsen MRI Fusion, FNC also remained the most-watched network across the political spectrum with more Independents and Democrats choosing FNC as their preferred network than MSNBC and CNN in total day and primetime viewers as well as the A25-54 demo.

“FNC remained the number one network among Hispanic and Asian households in total day viewers.

“Most notably, FNC’s Gutfeld! (2,191,000 P2+, 358,000 A25-54) made television history, becoming the first late-night cable program to finish the month as the most-watched late-night show in all of broadcast and cable, outpacing CBS’ The Late Show with Stephen Colbert (2,156,000 P2+, 377,000 A25-54) for the month of August.

“This is the first time Colbert has been unseated as late-night’s highest-rated host for a full month in more than five years (January 2017). Additionally, August marked the show’s highest-rated month since launching last April.”

And on Tuesday, he once again proved that he is a force to be reckoned with, as both of his shows drew more viewers than any other show on MSNBC or CNN.

It’s clear that Fox News viewers can’t get enough of Jesse Watters. And with numbers like these, it’s no wonder why.
