Tucker Carson revealed on Thursday that US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin pressed Congress to approve the military funding on Ukraine or else “your uncles, cousins, and sons [will be sent to] fight Russia.”

This comes after White House official John Kirby was quoted “American blood” will be the cost of supporting the Ukraine leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy if no money is sent to Kyiv.

Carlson shared on X, “In a classified briefing in the House yesterday, defense secretary Lloyd Austin informed members that if they don’t appropriate more money for Zelensky, “we’ll send your uncles, cousins, and sons to fight Russia.” Pay the oligarchs or we’ll kill your kids.”

Last December 6, House Foreign Affairs Chairman Michael McCaul also raised this issue after the military and intelligence authorities briefed Congress on the need to approve more military aid to Ukraine.

McCaul went on to say, “We lose all of our goodwill with our NATO allies [if the US pulls out to Ukraine]”

“No one’s going to trust us again.”

But these warnings did little to convince the lawmakers.

Rep. Byron Donalds called the classified briefing “boring”. Donalds said it took over half an hour before the administration officials took questions, which is what most members care about.

“These guys are just speechifying about most of the stuff you guys already report on the news,” Donalds added.

“We never learn anything in these joint briefings. They’re stupid.”

California lawmaker Rep. John Duarte expressed his dismay during an interview with The Messenger.

“I didn’t get a sense that any minds were changed in there.”

“It wasn’t impressive or insightful in any way other than what you might see in the news. It was just a hopeful pressure effort.”

Duarte remained firm despite the pressure and said he supports the plan to hold off on Ukraine aid until Congress enacts a border security package.

Biden administration is requesting $106 billion in additional funding for its wars.

Before this, the US reported aid for Kyiv worth $175 million from the dwindling government budget. It includes HIMARS rockets, shells, missiles, and ammunition.

This issue has raised questions among the Americans who bear the brunt of spending cuts to feed Biden’s military support on foreign conflicts.

Speaker Mike Johnson also justified their stance and said: “The Biden administration has failed to substantively address any of my conference’s legitimate concerns about the lack of a clear strategy in Ukraine, a path to resolving the conflict, or a plan for adequately ensuring accountability for aid provided by American taxpayers.”
