US Seized Venezuelan Dictator’s Plane in Dominican Republic

Venezuelan dictator Nicholas Maduro thinks he can do whatever he wants to do, and the entire global community will give him a free pass. However, a cunning man like Maduro can only be stopped by a man who is willing to do what it takes – not senile Joe.

The Justice Department on Tuesday seized Maduro’s airplane worth $13 million, a version of Air Force One, which he uses for state visits. But let us emphasize and not let the Biden-Harris regime take the credit, as the seizure comes after former president Donald Trump imposed strong sanctions against the dictator in 2019.

According to reports, the seizure was done after Maduro violated sanctions laws and export controls – a violation of US Executive Order 13884, signed during Trump’s administration.

The EO 13884 imposes comprehensive blocking measures on the Government of Venezuela that block all property of the Government of Venezuela that is either in the United States or within the possession of any U.S. person worldwide. U.S. persons include any U.S. citizen, any person with U.S. permanent resident alien “Green Card” status (regardless of where they are located) any entity organized under the laws of the United States or any jurisdiction within the United States (including foreign branches) or any person in the United States.

US investigators revealed that In 2023, persons associated with Maduro used a Carribean-based shell company to purchase the Dassault Falcon 900EX aircraft.

The aircraft was illegally exported from the US to Venezuela in April 2023, and since then “has flown almost exclusively to and from a military base in Venezuela and has been used for the benefit of Maduro and his representatives, including to transport Maduro on visits to other countries,” a statement from the Justice Department wrote.

The plane was transported back to Florida.

Purchase records show that the plane was bought in Florida in 2023 and exported to Venezuela through the Caribbean.

Their only refuge? Pursue a forfeiture, meaning the Venezuelan government can petition for the aircraft and collect evidence.

The sanction was a response by then-President Trump, “In response to increasing human rights abuses and corruption by the government of Nicolas Maduro, in power since 2013, the Trump Administration expanded US sanctions to include financial sanctions, sectoral sanctions, and sanctions on the government.”

In an earlier news, the US offered Maduro an “amnesty” if he would “cede power to his opponent, Edmundo Gonzalez Urrutia.”

Furthermore, this move is a slap on the dictator’s face proving that no one is above the US sanctions.
