It seems the tables have finally turned on Democrats when it comes to their views on illegal immigration.
They’ve been pushing for years to let in undocumented immigrants without any vetting processes, as well as give them the same rights and amenities as citizens.
However, the left appears to be reconsidering its position shortly after Texas GOP Governor Greg Abbott made a declaration that he will transport illegal immigrants to liberal-controlled cities.
Washington D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser has requested an extension of the National Guard’s assistance in the city following an uptick in illegal border crossings in recent weeks.
“The Mayor has asked for an extension of the National Guard’s assistance in the District,” Bowser’s spokesperson LaToya Foster said in a statement to Fox News. “We expect the Biden Administration to grant that request.”
It’s a far cry from the rhetoric we’ve seen from Democrats in office who have openly defied President Trump’s efforts to secure the southern border and stem the flow of illegal immigration.

The mayor’s request comes as the number of illegal border crossings has surged in recent weeks, with apprehensions topping 100,000 for the second month in a row.
The National Guard has been assisting the U.S. Border Patrol in Washington D.C. since last month when they were first deployed to help with the influx of migrants.
It’s unclear how long the extension will be for or what exactly the National Guard will be doing to help with the situation.
NYC has also been a liberal city that has been targeted as a location by Governor Greg Abbott to ship busloads of illegal immigrants. This is in retaliation for the left’s lack of action at the Southern border that primarily affects Republican states, despite having control in the House, Senate, and Executive branches.
New York City Mayor Eric Adams slammed Texas Governor Greg Abbott for his policy of sending migrants from the Texas border to other states, calling it “horrific.”
Adams was speaking at the Port Authority bus terminal, where 14 migrants were dropped off early Sunday morning. Officials had expected 40 people to be on the bus, but Adams said some migrants appear to have gotten off at other stops along the route.
Adams said some migrants were forced onto the bus, including families who wanted to go to other states. He called on Abbott to “do the right thing” and reverse his policy.
The first busload of migrants arrived in New York City on Saturday. It is unclear how long the migrants will stay in the city or where they will go next.
Abbott on the shipments: “In addition to Washington, D.C., New York City is the ideal destination for these migrants, who can receive the abundance of city services and housing that Mayor Eric Adams has boasted about within the sanctuary city. I hope he follows through on his promise of welcoming all migrants with open arms so that our overrun and overwhelmed border towns can find relief.”
