It was just past Monday evening on FOX News when former Secretary of State Pompeo accused President Biden of weakness on matters of policy as it relates to China.
While speaking with Sean Hannity, Pompeo also discussed the origins of the coronavirus. This interview came in light of the recent report that seems to point to the virus as a man-made virus forged in the cauldron of a lab in China.
After calling on the President to hold China accountable, Pompeo lamented that there were many avenues by which this could be accomplished and that it is within the grasp of the United States to hold the Chinese Communist Party responsible for the virus. Pompeo elaborated that, “There’s lots of ways we can do this. It doesn’t appear that the Biden administration’s going to head down any of those paths. There are many tools, without any further legislation, that the Biden administration could use to hold the Chinese Communist Party accountable for millions of deaths around the world and billions of dollars in loss that resulted from this Chinese foisting of a virus upon the world.“.
Pompeo hopes that Biden’s perceived weakness will retreat into complete and deserved obscurity as these things need to be “taken seriously” and the this administration and , by extension, the United States must not look weak in the eyes of its adversaries. As a purveyor of weapons-grade truth, Pompeo sealed his comments by adding that”When you are weak, you beget risk. You create real risk because your adversaries believe they can walk all over you. When you’re strong, when you’re clear about the words you use and you’re prepared to back them up, as the Trump Administration always was, when you’re prepared to back up the things that will secure American freedom, your adversaries take note of that. “
