The federal judge who gave the green light to the raid that happened at former President Donald Trump’s home in Florida appears to have donated to former President Barack Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign.
Florida federal Magistrate Judge Bruce Reinhart donated $1,000 to Obama’s 2008 campaign and another $1,000 to the Victory Fund, federal filings show. He also donated $500 to Jen Bush’s 2016 campaign, according to Fox News.
Before he was sworn in as a US Magistrate Judge in 2018, he served in private practice for a decade. He was also an Assitant US Attorney in West Palm from 1996 to 2008 and served as Trial Attorney in the Public Integrity Section of the US Department of Justice from 1988 to 1996.
In a strange move, he left his position in 2008 to represent Jeffrey Epstein’s accomplices. They later went on to receive federal immunity for allegedly trafficking underage girls.
According to the New York Post, the Epstein accomplices that Reinhart represented included Epstein’s pilots, his scheduler Sarah Kellen, and Nadia Marcinkova.
FBI agents raided Trump’s Mar-A-Lago estate on Monday.

These are dark times for our Nation, as my beautiful home, Mar-A-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, is currently under siege, raided, and occupied by a large group of FBI agents. Nothing like this has ever happened to a President of the United States before.
After working and cooperating with the relevant Government agencies, this unannounced raid on my home was not necessary or appropriate.
It is prosecutorial misconduct, the weaponization of the Justice System, and an attack by Radical Left Democrats who desperately don’t want me to run for President in 2024, especially based on recent polls, and who will likewise do anything to stop Republicans and Conservatives in the upcoming Midterm Elections.
FBI agents confiscated 15 boxes of classified materials during the raid.

In response, Republican lawmakers, conservative commentators, and some Democrats expressed serious concern that the raid was politically motivated.
House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., threatened to probe the DOJ over the raid if the GOP takes majority control in the fall, and House Republican Study Committee Chair Jim Banks, R-Ind., said the action was “un-American.”
Governor Ron DeSantis also had something to say about the raid.
“The raid of MAL is another escalation in the weaponization of federal agencies against the Regime’s political opponents, while people like Hunter Biden get treated with kid gloves,” said Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. “Now the Regime is getting another 87k IRS agents to wield against its adversaries? Banana Republic.”
House GOP Leader Kevin McCarthy issued a warning to Attorney General Merrick Garland.
“Attorney General Garland: preserve your documents and clear your calendar,” wrote McCarthy.
South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem also shared about the unprecedented nature of the raid.
“The FBI raid on President Trump’s home is an unprecedented political weaponization of the Justice Department. They’ve been after President Trump as a candidate, as President, and now as a former President. Using the criminal justice system in this manner is un-American,” wrote Noem.
