No, Hillary Clinton will not be running for president again.

The former first lady, senator from New York, and secretary of state under President Barack Obama confirmed that she will not seek the nation’s highest office once more after losing to Donald Trump in 2016.

“I’m not running, but I’m going to keep on working and speaking and standing up for what I believe,” Clinton said in an interview with Newsmax TV.

The two-time presidential candidate also had some harsh words for the Republican Party, urging them to “grow a backbone” and stop Trump from becoming the 2024 nominee.

“I hope that our country will wake up and realize that what they’re doing is self-destructive,” Clinton said.

Hillary has been critical of Trump since he took office, and she has said that she believes he will “go down in history as one of the worst presidents we’ve ever had.”

Despite her disdain for Trump, Clinton has said that she would not rule out voting for him if he were to face off against a Democrat in the 2024 election.

“I think it would depend on who the Democrat is,” Clinton said. “I think the most important thing is to make sure that we have a nominee who can beat him.”

Clinton has not ruled out running for office again in the future, but she said that she is not currently considering it.

“I’m not thinking about it right now,” Clinton said. “I’m really focused on what I can do to support the Biden-Harris administration and to work on behalf of our country.”

“I’m not going anywhere,” Clinton said. “I’m here. I’ll keep working every day for a better, fairer, more just America.”

“You know, I was the secretary of state. I spent, you know, many days on airplanes, flying from place to place, encouraging people to have real democracy. And one of the hallmarks of real democracy is the peaceful transfer of power.

“Was I happy when I beat Donald Trump by nearly 3 million votes but lost the Electoral College? No, I was not happy. Did I ever for a nanosecond think, ‘I’m gonna claim victory and try to get the Democrats to refuse to certify the election?’ No.”

Following the January 6th riot at the U.S Capitol, Hillary Clinton was not afraid to voice her thoughts on Trump’s leadership–or lack thereof. In an interview with CBS, she outright accused him of participating in a “seditious conspiracy” against the government in events leading up to and including the riot.

Clinton called for Trump’s immediate removal from office, saying that he was a clear and present danger to the country. She also called on Republican leaders to denounce Trump and his actions. Clinton’s comments came as Trump faces impeachment proceedings in the U.S. House of Representatives.
