The Republican Party of Wyoming last week voted to remove anti-Trump ‘RINO’ congresswoman, Liz Cheney as a member of the party.
The GOP state central committee voted 31-29 to pass the resolution to remove the state’s at-large congresswoman from its membership. This comes after around nine Wyoming counties approved similar measures to disown Rep. Cheney.
With her anti-Trump and pro-establishment approach, Cheney had gained a lately unpopular reputation with Republican voters, both in Wyoming as well as around the country. She is also one of the only two Republicans on Nancy Pelosi’s ‘January 6th select committee’ along with Illinois Representative Adam Kinzinger who is also continually seeing a decline in his poll numbers.
She also gained overwhelming backlash last year when she supported Democrats’ sham impeachment trial of President Trump as one of the minority Republicans.
Back in August, she was kicked out from her House Leadership role as Republican Conference Chair and Rep. Elise Stefanik of NY-21 replaced her as the third-ranking House Republican.
“Liz Cheney stopped recognizing what Wyomingites care about a long time ago when she launched her war against President Donald Trump, she completely broke where we are as a state.” said Trump-endorsed primary challenger Harriet Hageman.
President Trump in the 2020 elections, carried Wyoming by a large margin with more than 70 percent of the vote. And Cheney’s constant anti-Trump views are only hurting her chances of re-election in her state, at least as a Republican.
