Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy sounds alarm over former President Donald Trump’s call for peace, saying it is “very dangerous,” “a little scary,” and made him a bit “stressed.”

This is Zelenskyy’s response to Trump’s message during a victory speech in Iowa that he would end the Ukraine-Russia conflict “very quickly.”

Trump’s speech is out of exasperation. As the Ukraine war dragged on, billions of American money was splurged on a war that achieved nothing.

Zelenskyy was asked by a British channel what he wanted to say directly to Trump now, to which he responded:

“Donald Trump, I invite you to Ukraine, to Kyiv. So if you can stop the war in 24 hours, I think it will be enough to come,” Zelensky said.

The Ukrainian actor-turned-president expressed worry about the possibility of Trump winning the elections, accusing the GOP leader of making “decisions on his own.”

However, what the Ukrainian leader seems to be more concerned about is the possibility of being ousted once Trump takes over the White House.

Zelenskyy recently announced there will be no elections in Ukraine for this year, as he maintained that the country is under martial law due to the prolonged war.

The truth is, and what Zelenskyy doesn’t want to admit, is that Ukraine’s relevance is fading. The international support now focuses on Israel’s war in Gaza and the conflict that it has caused in the Middle East.

Zelenskyy repeatedly opposed the ceasefire claiming it would benefit Russian aggression and insisted on continuing the war against Russian troops despite losses. He even admitted to enlisting elderly men.

He also weaponized martial law to attack the opposition, particularly For Life, who succeeded the defunct party of former Ukrainian president Viktor Yanukovych.

Amid the war, Zelenskyy’s regime has been accused of corruption, mismanagement, and failed war strategy.

Before his remark against Trump, over a hundred Ukrainian women assembled in Central Kyiv’s Independence Square last December and braved a snowstorm. The women called to demobilize their families who had been on the frontlines since Day 1.

The former president has long been critical about Ukraine’s conflict with Russia. During his meeting with Zelensky in 2019, Trump told the Ukrainian president to “…just keep going, It’s be nice to end that whole disaster.”

Unfortunately for Zelenskyy, even world leaders in Davos think it’s time for the Ukraine-Russia conflict to end. During the WEF conference in Davos, Switzerland, the president struggled to convince bankers to invest in Ukraine’s defeated war.
